Is it me or are blogs on the out? The content has gone way down, posting is minimal at best, and in today's news, a blog that did a "budget makeover" just had her assistant email me back about a source to a $157 pillow (that's the sale price of course). Not to mention the only reason I commented was the blogger never did a source post.
And don't even get me started on Haven. I'm still thinking there's a good reason Centsational Girl isn't involved anymore.
I stopped following a lot of blogs. I used to love Makely Home for Girls but stopped going there 8 months or so ago as she was no longer doing her DIY posts but "reports" on stuff around the web, etc. I only follow 2 blogs now, a fashion blog and Victoria Barnes.
I've found that I don't enjoy reading decor blogs, but I do still find renovation blogs interesting. Which means I basically blog hop to those that just bought the fixer-upper and unsubscribe when they start posting tablescapes. This is probably because I've given up on ever getting to the decor stage on our house, lol.
The blogs I've been liking a lot lately are A Fire Pole in the Dining Room (although admittedly this blog moves really really slow, but it's interesting and different), Yellow Brick Home, and Chris Loves Julia. I also cannot wait to see the "afters" of the Pioneer Woman's new office in "the building." It's going to be so gorgeous. I'm sort of excited that we're tentatively planned to visit FIL in OK for his 60th birthday in ~18 months because they are not far from the location and I want to go to the deli they're going to build on the first floor!

a few of the blogs I read turned into "let me tell you about this great show/product that I got free tickets/samples to/of. I didn't have to write about it but wow am I dazzled. And now I want to give you a free one too if you promote my blog for me and I pick your name from a random list!
And work blocked like the other ones, and google reader went away. So I quit following blogs.
