We have cherry tomatoes, fresh mozz and basil we need to incorporate into dinner tonight. Our initial thought was sausage (probably hot Italian) for meat.
What would you make? I don't want pasta or pizza, which is all Google brings up. I'm going to the store this afternoon so I can buy more ingredients.
Buy a nice loaf of crusty bread and make bruschetta.
Halve and hollow out a big zucchini, stuff it with the cooked crumbled sausage combined with your other ingredients (you may need to add an egg and some bread crumbs to bind it - I do this in my KitchenAid mixer and sometimes add a little cream cheese), and either bake it in the oven or wrap it in foil and grill it.
Are you opposed to any kind of pasta at all, or just a hot pasta dish? You could cook some orzo early in the day, toss in a little olive oil to keep it moist, and stick it in the fridge to cool. Then later mix your ingredients with it to make a cold pasta salad.

The zucchini sounds good!
I've got a pretty carb heavy lunch, so looking to avoid them for dinner.
If I didn't want carbs, I would toss it in a salad with a bunch of spinach, add some grilled chicken, and dress with olive oil and balsamic. Or just make caprese salad as a side for some basic grilled chicken, fish, or steak.
I would just toss the cherry tomatoes with cubes of mozz and some balsamic. Then add in some chopped basil for a caprese salad or put it on top of spinach or arugula for a salad.
I'm doing bastardized italian tonight. I had home made chicken salad already, so I'm doing chicken salad sandwiches with a capreses salad side. I roasted a ton of grape tomatoes until they burst with a balsamic drizzle. I'm going to top spinach with the burst tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and a balsamic/honey reduction and serve that as a side to the sandwiches.
Ditto the PPs re: bruschetta or panzanella or a simple tomato salad (which is what I'm eating for my lunch!) Slice a few cucumbers and red onions and you're all set.
Otherwise, if you want to avoid carbs you could make a frittata with those ingredients. I'd make the frittata with the egg, cheese and basil, and then separately roast/saute the cherry tomatoes quickly and top the frittata with them, like a chunky tomato sauce.
Side dish: Roast some marinated zukes and yellow squash with the tomato . when it's still warm, add the basil, then chunks of cheese so it's soft and warmed, but not melted.
For extra greens, throw it on top of a bed of spinach sauteed with a ton of garlic .
