I wish someone had tried to correct my misconceptions when I was little. I distinctly remember I thought I might be pregnant at age 5 since I sat on a guy's lap (fully clothed) and I knew it had something to do with penises and vaginas but not what.

Yep. Abby's already told people that she came out of Mommy's privates and that some babies get cut out.

Oh yeah. Holden learned about the uterus when she was 4 and I was pg with Sadie, and a lot of the birth control and more technical birth questions came up this pregnancy. She also wanted to know about C-sections, which she thought sounded better than vaginal births.

I was trying to think of what I would say to D if she asked. She's asks a lot of questions but not that yet. I know she's young but it crossed my mind. I like what katfco said

Oh I just remembered I did tell Edie she came out of belly through my vagina and she FREAKED out and said she never wanted that to happen to her. She never asked again. Itbwas within the past year because it was in this house.

I don't think there's anything wrong with this.  If my DS1 (5) asked, I would answer him.  As briefly as possible though!

Whatever he asks, I do answer.  Only respond to the exact question, I don't elaborate LOL

Totally agreed.  I cannot believe my mom told her, though.  MY mom.  My sister freaked out and I'm also pretty sure she was a virgin until she got married.

Great article. Pretty much the approach we're taking! Max has started to get pretty obsessed with his penis. We don't use other words for it but they must at preschool or other kids do because sometimes he says "pee pee." He was putting it in a cup yesterday in the tub and giggling. LOL.

Ada now thinks her belly button is her butt and that you poop out of it. I never told her this! I'm obviously failing anatomy with her.
