We are headed to Maui next month. My parents are celebrating a big anniversary and we would like to take them out to a nice meal (they are taking us on the trip).
We will have one vegetarian.
Any restaurant recs? No budget. We are in CA, so can skip anything that is also local (e.g., spago).

Ditto Mama's Fish House. I still think about the beef short rib that DH ordered and the view is amazing. Our table felt like it was right on the beach.
We also really enjoyed Humu's at the Grand Wailea. It was absolutely delicious but the atmosphere didn't quite measure up to Mama's.
Mama's Fish House was great. That said, I'm glad I went at lunch when we had a good view and I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much at dinner when it was more crowded.
Feast at Lele was an absolute blast. It's a luau for people that don't want to go to a luau. Food was very, very good. They can adapt the menu for a vegetarian.
I also enjoyed Pacific'o. Outdoor patio has spectacular views.

Take this with a grain of salt...it was 13 years ago.
But our best meals on Maui at places that still exist were (in order of preference) the Feast at Lele, Ferraro's at the Four Seasons, Humu at the Grand Wailea.
The absolute best, most romantic meal we had was at what was then the Four Seasons signature restaurant. It's been converted to Spago in the years since, though.
Agree with mamas fish house. Make reservations now. We had our anniversary dinner there in June and let them know on our rez and they took good care of us.
Feast at Lele will do a complete vegetarian menu. I ate it last year while pregnant and reuplsed by seafood. Make sure to call them at least a day in advance and let them know.
