I made a huge amount of pasta salad yesterday and have had way too many helpings. I just finished one now and am tempted to have another. I am weak when presented with carbs.

There is a nest with baby birds outside my door at work. I love going out and looking at them. But, I'm also terrified I'll open the door one day and see a dead baby bird.
We took a quick trip OOT and Henry spent the night with my parents. We drove straight through to pick him up at daycare today and when I got there he was all, "I don't want you. Where are G-ma and papa? WTF kid?

Moving is sooooo expensive. I really want a pedicure, but won't be going til payday next week. Unless DH's student loan refund comes in....come on, baby!
I just found out my 6 week old nephew has to have stomach surgery in the morning. It's not a huge surgery, but the thought of the little guy going under anesthesia scares me. I've been sick so I don't get to go see him, which actually is ok. I'm a crier and I'd hate to lose it up at the hospital.
Ab went to sleep 2 hours early tonight..I fear for a MOTN wake up.
L loves facetime. she thinks that is how you talk on the phone, and what my iphone is for. all day today she would pick up my phone, look at it, smile and say "hiiiii!!!"

For my birthday I got a carpet cleaner (it was the only thing I wanted). Today I went to target and got a hand held vacuum for our stairs (the Dyson is too cumbersome for our townhouse stairs - and the vacuum was on sale!). I am too excited and now realize I am turning into my weird clean o holic mother.

it's so funny.
A is the same way. If I talk to someone on speaker he tries prying it out of my hands so he can see them. I actually think, he thinks his grandma lives in there.
So I needed some more allergy pills, I have been paying somewhere around ten dollars for a month supply at target for generic Zyrtec. I decided just to look on amazon last night. kirkland brand Zyrtec 365 pills cost 16. :fist pump:
I got a nice compliment from a patient today about me being awesome at my job, and was so glad that I was her nurse because I made her feel safe and in control. It made me happy.
Campbell is at my favorite baby age, I just want to pause her. Well except for the still not sleeping through the night thing..... Non mobile, chunky baby body and cheeks, all smiles and giggles, naps easily, and can sit up. Baby perfection
I am getting my new induction stove tomorrow!!!!!!! I am super excited, haven't had pasta in three weeks, lol.
This baby! And I love the tiny oven in the bottom instead if a drawer, I think it will be kind of like a toaster oven?
Lol you're so cute. It's a broiler. You know how your old oven had an element at the bottom and the top of the inside? Your new one won't, the element that was at the top on the inside will now be in that little drawer. Great for browning the tops of things, melting cheese on stuff... And broiling steaks
Wtf. I kept wondering why my oven sucked at broiling things and why I wasn't supposed to store things in that bottom drawer.

What? Lol It's not, according to the website, it is a warmer drawer. And the oven still has the broiler.

We have a warmer drawer - it's handy for a few things, like, well, keeping stuff warm when you're entertaining. And it's a great place to put the rising dough if you're doing things with yeast (ours has a couple of proofing settings). I think it's also supposed to be good for re-crisping crackers, but I have never tried it.
I have always wanted an induction stove - looks so cool!

Found out this evening that a few stores (mine being potentially one of them) are closing and a lot of people are going to be laid off. I'm frightened that I'm going to be one of those that gets laid off at a time where my fingers are just brushing the benefits I should be receiving soon. I don't know what I'll do if I'm laid off. It may very well mentally cripple me and send me into a dangerous spiral downward. All I can feel is neutral on this. I don't dare hope.
H is leaving in T-minus 3 days for a week's vacation to Florida. I can't wait. I desperately need the alone time and be able to sleep without hearing the TV blare in the other room.
There's going to be an 11 day lapse in our health insurance coverage. I'm thinking that we won't leave the house and we'll only eat things that don't require knives or fire/heat. This is possible, right? lol
My dh almost dropped health coverage on Dec. 31, several years ago; we were going to be without for 2 weeks. It's a thousand dollars he whined. Pay it I said. He paid it.
830 am New Years Day I am in the ER with a gall bladder attack; in the hospital for 5 days, surgery, omg. Tens of thousands.
Don't go uncovered.
Why are you leaving out the part where you toasted in the New Year with a glass of your home-pasteurized milk? Because I know this is what happened.
I had a pretty shitty day today. DD wanted to change her earrings. I went to take the back out and couldn't feel it. They had embedded in the backs of her ears!!! Wtf?! She's had her ears pierced since she was 2 months old (by her pedi). I had to perform minor surgery on her ears. She was brave, we survived. Then I looked over where DS was playing and realized he had blown out his diaper and was playing with it all over the floor. That was really fucking gross to deal with. I'm overwhelmed, overtired, and just.need.a.break.
I just googled myself and discovered I have an instagram account, which apparently I set up in 2010. I need to google myself more often. I never know what gems will come up! I'm totally going to be posting pictures of my meals with some badass filters every moment of every day from now on.
Most likely you could purchase it after the fact if you needed to, since you have up to 60 days to elect to enroll similar to cobra.
I just found that site. lol
It's not short term though. Ugh. I just need less than two weeks worth of coverage.
Transition sucks, man.
It looks like it has the same rules as cobra. If you end up needing it for the short time you lapse you can pay one monthly premium after the fact, and then drop it after that. I could be wrong, but it is probably a nice just in case kind of thing.

FWP: I received an order from both The Limited and Modcloth today and now I'm so overwhelmed with new clothes I haven't tried them on because I don't feel I'm in the proper state of mind to make decisions.
