I would love to have more showings today, but it is exhausting prepping the house every morning before I leave for work and then keeping the dogs busy for hours on end. Gah.
Oh I thought I told you about it yesterday? Kind of low-balled. Realtor is waiting to see if we get more offers from the showings yesterday.
One of the people had an appt from 5:30 - 6:30 last night, showed up AT 6:30 and were there for like 5 minutes. They just left feedback saying that the house smelled like dogs and they were concerned about a stain on the carpet (which was from paint - in my painting room) was soiled by the dog. They want to see it again though.
The ironic part is these were older people and they left a weird smell in the house after only having been there for 5 minutes???

selling your house is one of the most frustrating things! EVA!

Oh I know. One realtor left the door open after the showing too - WTF? I sent a complaint email to our realtor about all this garbage yesterday.
Yes 4 showings in two days and one offer. So far so good.
Even though that offer sucks, your realtor can still use it to say, well there's already an offer on the table...
Eta: have I mentioned I'm jealous? Lol
Yes I know, he used that with someone yesterday. He just called and apparently the people really interested in it don't want to get into a multiple offer/bidding war because the house is already at the top of their price range. Gah.

I want to murder someone today. People at work are working my last nerve!
We have a clinician leaving and so her office will be opening up. It is one of the bigger ones. NO ONE approached me about needing a bigger office or not being happy with their space. So I offered it to one clinician because I need her (smaller) office for our new person.
Now, another clinician (who is full of drama) comes to me and tells me that she should get it and that she DESERVES it because of seniority. Acts like it is a done deal. I tell her that it is an administrative decision and it isn't based on seniority. She asks me what it is based upon and I tell her that it isn't her business.

I'm a fucking moron...I'll be the first one to admit it. I'm also a glutton for punishment. I agreed to have dinner with my friend tonight, who's life is nothing but drama, as of late. Part of it is total curiousity over how he'll explain the recent stupidity and part of it is because he owes me money.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??!!!!
Shank that bitch!
The funny part is how she told me she will be hurt if we go with our orginial plan but won't be mad. I tell her it is okay if she does get mad because it's part of life and that not everyone will always be happy with decisions made. Lol.

This is a great time to remind her life is not always fair

She's very considerate, being hurt but not mad at you. lol!
A family friend out in North Dakota was burned in the Oil fields last night. He is at a regional hospital out there right now but they think they are going to need to airlift him here as we have a major burn unit. It could have been a lot worse but he still is going to have a long road of recovery ahead of him.

Can you bake cookies before showings or have candles burning for a while and blow them out and hide they right before you leave or hide good smelling things around the house? Spritzing vinegar around is a great odor absorbent, too, you just need to do it about an hour ahead of time, so the house doesn't smell like vinegar.

My random is that our group has a presentation tonight and I don't feel very prepared, even though I am prepared. I am just nervous!
There is one lady in our group that said she was going to do all this stuff and she hasn't done any of it, which means we all divided up her duties and we're doing it for her.
riverpestie I'm going to go home today and vacuum and do the vinegar trick at lunch. I've also been spraying a citrus lysol before showings too. None of the other showings complained about that.
