How much meat ? (party question)

We're having a taco bar for DD's birthday party this weekend. We want to have chicken and pork as options. We will probably cook them both in the slow cooker. Chicken the night before, and pork the day of.

We're expecting 25 adult meat eaters and 5 kid meat eaters. Some of these people may come later and not eat as much.

How many lbs of chicken and pork do we need?

"Micucci offers this advice for a full-course buffet: "When determining meat quantities, heres my good rule of thumb. If you are serving one kind of meat, order 8 to 10 oz. of raw meat per person, or 6 to 8 oz. of fish or chicken. If you are serving two kinds, figure on 5 oz. of each per person."

So 7-8 lbs of each sounds good to me.
