We have one room that really isn't used for much, it's an yellowish ivory chunky paint that would probably need a professional...don't get me wrong, it will take a good amount of cleaning out stuff and getting rid of stuff to make it in to a nursery one day.
Anyways, I want a really light aqua, we would be "team green" so it would have to be very neutral/subtle. Haven't found "it" yet though, it's nice to dream.
I would want all the trim and the ceiling in white (all currently the same yellowish/ivory)
also there is some paneling over the radiator and the huge closet door that I would paint gray.
The room is already an aqua/turquoise color. It's a happy color and the room will stay that color because I hate painting. I figured if it's a girl I can add some bright pink/purple accents and call it a day.
The room is already a light grey color. It will stay that way. I always leave the walls neutral and just add accent in the room. That way I don't have to repaint later.
We currently live in a condo which we don't plan on selling/buying a bigger house until I'm pregnant anyway because we're fine there with just the 2 of us and the dog and cat. I like the idea of a calm, soft grey and then adding pops of colour based on the gender, but we'll see. We will NOT be team green so that idea may change once I am actually pregnant/buy a house/know the sex.
The guest room/nursery to be is already ivory, and we need to buy a new crib anyway, so I'd like to get one that's gray, and build around that. We have the ikea Hemnes dressers in ours and DS's room, so I like the idea of one more, but this time in white, and then just do color with accents. We'd need to get curtains, so that could be our color pop.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Right now we only have one bedroom but our lease will be up June next year so hopefully we can move into a two bedroom then but even so the kid probably wouldn't stay in his/her own room until it's 1-1.5 yr old anyway so I haven't given much thought to the nursery. But probably a pale grey or something.
if it's a girl, I would love to do a wall of wallpaper. I love this nursery:
for a boy, I think we'd do something dark and cozy, like an almost black, navy or dark green.
but, then I also like bright, neutral nurseries, too, with a lot of grey and white. I guess it'll depend on what I'm loving at that time.
we'll more than likely have white furniture (we already have a row of white bookshelves) and I'm already pretty set on the IKEA Hemnes dresser (we had one in our own room for years and it held up great). and we already have a big, white, cushy slipcovered chair in there that we bought a few years ago knowing that it would be for baby's room.

In our last house, the nursery was a light green color ( we were team green ). In the new house , DS' room is a light aqua color (same bedding as old house) and we'll keep it for a girl too.

I really don't know. I have a beach theme in mind for either sex really, so maybe an aqua. Although I have a love of the Wizard of Oz and have thought about an "Over the Rainbow" theme for a girl so not sure what color I'd do for that.
the room that will be our nursery is already a pale yellow, which is great for team green AND great for my lazy ass which hates painting. Then we will do lots of whites, greens and neutrals to pull it all together. Attachment Deleted

Haha, this is us as well. Several years ago we painted the spare room a creamy golden yellow, with the intention of leaving it for a nursery when the time came. We're doing a Peter Rabbit theme and are team green.

I love grey but we have a rustic house with wood trim and doors and grey is too cool for the wood undertone. It's currently a sandy neutral that could easily go either way. My h is a great painter but he hates to do it sooooo I'm not sure haha. I'm really liking the aquas and greens right now.

I really love grey, or pale yellow. We'll be team green (I think), so I really like grey, navy and orange for a boy, and grey, yellow, and teal for a girl. I like keeping the walls neutral enough so I don't have to repaint. I freaking hate painting.
I want to do grey and green with either pops of blue or pink. I'm pretty sure it will be Star Wars themed (prints and whatnot) no matter of we have a girl or boy.

We rent so the walls will stay white. Also, I'm lazy. So even if we didn't rent they'd stay white. I'll accent with fun colors. I like brown, red & turquoise. We'll see though.
We recently bought a house and the bedroom we plan to use for a nursery was a bright orange. We painted it right away! It is now navy and will stay that way for either boy/girl. We will be team green whenever we get pregnant and I think we plan in doing a navy/yellow theme.
Gray probably. I have an idea to do gray/white/lavender for a girl, and gray/white/(not sure, choose between light bkue, navy, or maroon) for a boy.
Don't kid yourself, pooh8402 , now that I know you're such an Aggie, I think I can guess which third color would make it on your hypothetical baby boy's wall.
And, for the record, I just bought some lovely maroon ankle pants and enjoyed them with a new gray top and sparkly gray flats this week and realize my intentional avoidance of maroon in Texas must be stopped, as it's just a great color, even if I'll be mistaken for a Johnny Football supporter. ;-)

That's beautiful! I've been through a range of opinions about wallpaper after every room in my childhood home got the treatment in the 80s, but that's stunning.
Too bad my suburban Texas walls are covered in that texture that comes standard in southern subdivisions.
