I don't know her and I've never seen girls so I don't have an opinion, but at least they cast an actress not a pop singer, so it's a step in the right direction. And I would like to be on future theatre geek lists please :-)

I'm not sure I'd call her an actress, LOL, but I know what you mean.
I absolutely cannot wait for Into the Woods (although don't understand why Bernadette Peters isn't the witch)!
I really don't get the Allison Williams casting choice. She looks like a woman, not a young boy who never grew up. She is Wendy, not Peter. There is a reason they have cast petite, boyish, former gymnasts in this role in the past.

I've only seen one episode of Girls but it was enough to know that casting is terrrrrrrrrrrrrrible! She's so freaking tall! Look at her legs? They start at her armpits! Nooooooooo!
I've never seen Girls, so I don't really know who she is, but she doesn't scream Peter Pan to me. Of course I'm biased, growing up watching Mary Martin's version on VHS constantly. I didn't watch SOM live, but this I will be for sure. It's one of my childhood favorites. I so wanted to be the Indian Princess and would do their dance around the living room.
I'm still a bit bitter about Meryl Streep, I think she was AWFUL in Mama Mia, but those pictures of her do look pretty good. Again, growing up watching the Bernadette Peters version on VHS has ruined me for life. That's the only character in the show I judge every time I see it.
