I'm starting this because I'm jet lagged and it sure feels like the middle of the night. We didn't get home till after midnight after a solid 24 hours of travel but the three of us were up at 4 feeling refreshed. Amazing what your own bed will do. Luckily I was able to sleep/rest for a few more hours and DH took off half the morning.
Then I let the baby take an epic nap pretty much all afternoon so I could be lazy. I have a pit of my stomach feeling that this was a huge mistake. Oh, and the toddlers aren't jet lagged, obviously, so that's great.

Even with being on the west coast I thought "wow the MOTN thread is getting started earlier than normal today". Hopefully you get some sleep tonight and reset your internal clocks soon.
I'm on the train ride home from work right now. We might be going out to dinner tonight for my step dad's bday, but haven't heard any firm details from my mom yet.
I accidentally just slammed a Summer Shandy. Whoops.
We've had two really bad nights in a row, so I'm hoping for a better night tonight. H is currently helping a friend move, but I'm telling him when he gets home that he's on night duty if we have a million wake-ups again. Maybe I'll have another beer.
Also, the microphone feature on our baby monitor has solved our bedtime issues. We think it's separation anxiety. He will stand in his crib and scream but if we call and say "everything is fine, lay down and go to sleep"...he will.

Hat tip to H for figuring this out.
My 2 1/2 year old responds surprisingly well to it as well.

I never put pants on my baby. He only ever just wears a onesie. Is he supposed to be wearing shorts, too?
Ds is attached to my boob in the master bed while I watch America's got talent. H is OOT and I'm loving sleeping in here instead of the cot in the nursery.

Baby is in the crib being Chatty Cathy and is cracking me up. I'm waiting for him to start screaming and want a bottle though. My supply is sooooo low that poor guy isn't getting much to drink.
In other news, H and I knocked out TWO quickies this week. Insanity.

When I tried that with DD, she freaked out
I have used this a few times when dd1 is caught out of bed and it scares the pants off of her.
H is gone till tomorrow, so I used Nair for faces on my upper lip tonight. It worked!
I've been noticing my blonde facial hair seemed to be getting thicker, so I brought it up to my hair girl, who said I should use face Nair instead of waxing. Glad she did, saves me $!

Mine is either in a onesie or just a diaper. Classy.
apparently H took him to the post office today in just a diaper and socks. Interesting.
Literal LOL. I've done just the diaper, too. It is hot as hell &the diapers are cute.

I only use the microphone as the "voice of God" so-to-speak, it scares the CRAP out of DS. We have a camera in the playroom, and if I see him doing something bad I'll say into the microphone "DS first-middle-last name, stop that right now!" And he immediately stops with this "oh shit!" look on his face.

I thought the microphone would freak him out so I never tried it. This is why you need to let dads experiment, people! He literally stopped shrieking, looked around kind of astonished, then laid down and went to sleep. It's worked every night this week.
I cannot get over this weirdness that happened at the park yesterday. I took the kids, and DS1 rode his bike there. As we were playing a couple more people came (we were the only ones there at first) and this kid starts moving/playing with/trying to ride DS1's bike. Instead of removing him or telling him no, the mom just puts him on the seat and pushes him around on it. Seriously, wtf?
Is it normal to freak the fuck out about every single thing during the last few days of ML??? I've cried 3 times today with pretty much nothing as a trigger. I've yelled at DH twice. I hung up on my mom earlier today. (I never do that!!)
I just want to cuddle with my bay-beeee!!! I can't even really do that because we have a family reunion this weekend and will be traveling. I feel like once I get to work on Monday I'll finally be able to breathe. Isn't that insane?
ETA: Add "being a royal bitch to DH and making him tear up" to my list. I'm really on a roll!
