Do you have a tried-and-true home remedy for getting rid of heel calluses?
I'd like to get a pedicure before I go on vacation, and they offer callus removal for an extra $5, but I want to try it myself in the meantime. I've been using a pumice stone after my shower, and last night I soaked my feet in hot water and epsom salts before scrubbing, but I haven't gotten great results. Maybe the pumice stone is too old or ineffective? I've also tried putting on the Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream before bed and sleeping in sweatsocks, but that hasn't done much either.
Two weeks is plenty of time. I did it about 10 days before I went on a trip and the shedding was done by the time I flew out. Just soak your feet in warm water for about 15 minutes every day, that will help speed the process along.

Before bed, I soak my feet in warm water, rub with a pumice, apply Eucerin Intensive Repair foot cream and put on cotton socks to wear overnight. My heels have never looked so good and I have some nasty dry, cracked skin otherwise!
My heels are terrible. . Baby feet helped but it didn't touch the worst areas on the heel. I have to do Ped egg + Kerasal at night, socks on for several days & it'll get way better.
Has anyone been to the podiatrist or anything for this? My feet are horrible and I was thinking about seeing a doctor about it. It seems like they look okay for about a week after a pedicure but then they're back to being gross.
I was a Baby Foot fan but they were out of stock of the original last time I needed it (I find the lavender one doesn't work for me for whatever reason) so I took a chance on this cheaper alternative. I paid around $10 and it worked just as well as the baby foot I'm going to order a back-up now that it's down to $8

I have Mr. Pumice , the Ped Egg, and a Diamancel Buffer #11. I leave Mr. Pumice in the shower, and end up using that regularly. All of them work pretty well though.
