If you lost weight while bf-ing and ended up below pre-pg weight, when did it happen? 0-3 months, 3-6 months? after 6 months? Did it come back after you weaned?
Most of my weight was lost in the first 4 weeks. I was 3ibs away from my pre pregnancy weight. Now that I am nursing less and back at work I have gained 3ibs back. I won't diet until I am done nursing bc I am still so hungry.
I lost a lot of weight between 3-6 months (got dangerously low). I am just starting to gain a bit of weight now at 9 months. I think starting solids helped. I haven't weaned yet so don't know how that'll be.

Similar to gibbylod. Around 6 months I was lower than I've ever been weight wise. We only nurse before bed now and I've gained 8 pounds since I quit pumping.
I'm also curious about this, since I haven't lost a pound since I was 3w pp (currently 8w). Fingers crossed that I won't have to live with the last 15 pounds until she weans.
With my first it was within the first two months. With my second it was around 6 months. With my third, I hit pre-pregnancy weight after I weaned, but have since gained a few (or 5-10) back. Damn slowing metabolism!
A lost all of my pregnancy weight within a week'ish. But everything has shifted. I lost my butt and now have thighs/more fat in my stomach area. I look wider, but weigh basically the same I did before having DS.
I haven't reached my pre-preg weight yet, but I was pretty thin then, so I don't mind the extra weight for now. I have lost about 1kg in the past 2-3 weeks though, so I am pretty sure that the weight is in the process of coming off. I think it is coming off more after the 3 month mark though.
I gained 40 lbs during pregnancy, and was about 10 lbs over my ideal weight when I GOT pregnant. I hit my pre-pregnancy weight around 5 months post partum, and lost an additional 10 lbs over the next 3 months or so.
Be forewarned; I gained those 10 lbs back within 4 months of weaning.

I lost a chunk right away, was about 5lbs shy (over pre-pg weight by 4 months) and was under by 5lbs around 6. I'm scared now that I have weaned to just morning/night. I have really had to consicously look at my food intake!

I think by about 6 months pp. DD had just turned 2 and was still nursing twice a day when I got pregnant with DS. So I can not help with the weaning question. My starting pregnancy weight was about 10 lbs less than my starting weight with DD.
I am almost 8 weeks out and still above my starting weight. Not sure I will ever get back to that weight or not. I am not concerned about it at this point.
I lost all the PG weight I'd gained by the 4th-ish month BFing. I only gained 18 pounds with DS and he was a 9lb baby, so it wasn't a lot. When I weaned at 23 months I gained it all back plus another 15 pounds I was just starting to fret about it but I got KU and now IDGAF
I lost about 25 pounds in the first 4 weeks or so. I know a lot of that was from delivery, but I did change up until about 6 weeks. Then, I held on to every last pound. Weaning changed nothing except that I have more energy to work out now. Every time I cut calories, my milk supply dropped.
Oops, I re-read your OP and it asks if we made it to below pre-preg weight. I'm still going to post my answer, but I am still not at below pre-preg weight!
I can tell stories of friends:
-one friend did nothing and is the smallest I've ever seen her -one friend did Beachbody at one month PP and looks just like her old self -one friend worked at it and it just stuck around until after weaning
Okay, I'm back to add one more thing. I do wish I would have counted calories more regularly while nursing. I was just hangry all the time and told myself I could eat because I was nursing. Like I said before, my milk supply would drop when I cut calories, but I probably could have found a middle and I definitely could have made some healthier food choices along the way. I am finally back to eating right and all that this summer and I feel so much better. I probably could have felt this much better while nursing if I would have changed my eating.
I usually gain 15-20 lbs and lose most of it pretty immediately. I'm usually back to pre-pregnancy weight by 4 months or so.
I started out a bit in the overweight category five years ago and I'm currently about 25 lbs less than what I was walking into my first prenatal appointment with DD. I've been working at it the last two months or so, working out and watching my diet. That took off about ten pounds and I'd love to drop another 10-15. I just dipped back into the normal BMI range.
I'm curious (scared) about what will happen when I wean in a month or so. I haven't had a moment without being pregnant or nursing since I started. I'm hoping I can just pick back up with MFP and keep it in line.
I went through a weird transition after giving birth, I lost my appetite completely for about a month after I had my daughter. I was losing weight really fast so I started drinking Ensure which has 250 calories per bottle. Anything with a lot of flavor or salt completely turned me off. Lots of cereal, toast, oatmeal and Ensure. I wasn't dieting, I just lost my appetite.
After my son was born I didn't got through that and I still lost the pregnancy weight within a month. I think I just have the type of body that does that, I'm not gloating or trying to rub it in anyone's face but I didn't exercise at all, it just came off with nursing.

With DD I lost a lot of weight right away, but my shape was all off. By about 4mo pp, my hips started to go back down a bit. Then I lost more weight pretty steadily, and hit my lowest weight since HS around 9-10 mo pp. I gained about 5lbs after weaning, bc obviously a HS weight was not going to be sustainable. I stayed at that weight, which was still a good 10-12lbs below my pre-preg weight until I got pregnant again. My pre-preg weight was 5lbs up from my previous normal weight, due to a m/c and eating my feelings.
What happens this time remains to be seen! I gained more this time, but I was pretty swollen in my legs and feet by the end- July baby vs. Feb baby. And DS weighed a pound and a half more.
I was down to pre-pregnancy weight within 7-10 days. I lost another 15 lbs over the next 2-3 months. Then I gained most of that back after about 6-7 months. It's so hard trying to diet or keep weight off while nursing because you're soooo hungry. When we dropped to one session a day, all of a sudden I had a few more pounds creep back on. Now I'm pregnant again and hoping for 1st tri weight loss to start where I did last time.

L is 5.5 months old and I'm not back to PP weight yet. I have lost 45 of 60ish pounds gained though.
I'm afraid of what will happen when I wean. I don't really think a ton if my weight loss is contributed to nursing... I've been doing WW since 8ish weeks PP, so hopefully that will help me keep a handle on the weight once we aren't nursing anymore..
Both times I have gone below pre-preg weight around the 9-10 months. Really without much work. I eat healthy but still have treats and get maybe 3 workouts in a week.
Then I wean and put 10 lbs on and above my pre-preg weight and have to work my ass off running and watching everything I eat to lose it. Sigh
With #1, I was down to pre-pregnancy weight by 6 weeks, and lost an additional 15 lbs by 4 months. I was back down to high school weight, though body composition was definitely different. I gained all 15 back after I weaned him completely at 18 months.
I haven't done anything different with #2, but he turns 1 this week and depending on the week, I'm still hanging on to 4-9 pounds. My milk supply is very touchy, so any time I cut calories, he doesn't get enough milk. I'm looking forward to weaning this time, so I can do more to lose the last pounds.

I lost all my pregnancy weight by 2 or 3 months PP when breastfeeding. But I was still pretty "soft" for a few more months. I weaned both times around 5-6 months and started working out more to tone back up at that point.

This is where I'm at.
I'm like 20 lbs above what I should weigh. I use nursing as an excuse, because if I cut calories, my supply takes a huge hit.
I did not lose any weight BFing.
I'm really sad and tired of being overweight, but I also am scared to "diet" because I am still breastfeeding.
