I started taking an iron supplement 2 weeks ago and it's made a HUGE difference. I'm a lot less tired and not at all winded anymore. I'm so glad.
I feel like she's really low. Siting on the toilet is becoming somewhat difficult at times. It's weird. And sometimes the way she moves/positions herself is rathe painful, but it doesn't last long.
Other than that, things are good! Once the crib sheet comes in we'll pick a wall colour. I'm picking up a bassinet from our daycare lady today (it belongs to one of the moms at dc).
shevacc and ladydi thanks for chiming in. My worst pain is right when she latches too and then it gets a little better. So does the pain ever go away or does it last all during pregnancy? I think my milk supply is already decreasing because she has asked me twice "mama get more milky for me". it's kinda bittersweet, I cried the other day (but I cry about everything now, ha).
I'm sorry you're sad . It is bittersweet that pregnancy has to affect our outside babies so early on. Thinking of you and sending big hugs your way!
That cringing latching pain went away for me eventually (I think shortly into 2nd tri? I can't exactly remember) but I used to pretty much be able to nurse in my sleep and still can't do that. That said, it's not painful either.
My supply took a huge hit fairly soon after my BFP and I'm pretty sure G's just been comfort nursing for months, but I didn't want to know so I didn't ask her if my milk was completely gone (made me sad too). Around when I think it disappeared she completely dropped any daytime sessions and only asked before bed/early mornings/sometimes before nap. G recently started telling me milk is yummy in her tummy so I think my colostrum is back? I don't leak while pregnant so no real idea.
Anyway, if you and she both want to stick with it, the pain does seem to get better. And if pregnancy naturally leads to weaning, she'll love you just as much. eav2c has lots of awesome tandem nursing advice if that's the route you choose and I might in another few months depending on how things are going.
Thanks so much this really helped me. It's so nice to have other moms to lean on. <3 more tears! (In a good way )
I'm only 7 weeks, since my ultrasound set me back 9 days. I'm really tired, not too much nausea but lots of food aversions, my nipples hurt and L is still nursing so that has been interesting. Anyone else nursing? I find I'm not as patient during it now, like it annoys me a little? My face is broken out, which didn't happen last time.
I got that annoyed feeling too but more than just a little- like total nursing aversion, but it was around a sucky time anyway. we went to London and that threw her schedule off so she was nursing SO much and my supply was dropping anyway and it was just bad- I didn't make it. I had to wean. Sorry to share a "negative" story but I mostly wanted to let you know you're not alone in the "annoyed" feeling. I've heard it will pass so keep going (if that's what you want)!!! Good luck

The nipple pain subsided when nursing around 16 weeks. It was a bitch to deal with. My milk dried up by 30 weeks but Colin continued nursing the entire pregnancy. He still nurses... Probably more than the baby. I started giving him 2% milk around 20 weeks. Maybe a bit earlier. He only gets BM again now. If you don't you might want to offer her a little, maybe? I can tell you my aggression and anger towards Colin while nursing when I was pregnant got worse and worse. Truth be told I should have weaned. I never hurt him or anything but I had really bad anger when he would nurse. I don't know why but I would sit there nursing him fuming on the inside. That completely subsided when I had him but I do hear some women have a lot of anger toward the older child when tandem nursing. I haven't had that but what you are explaining doesn't sound uncommon. It sounds normal. If you get frustrated, pop her off and take a breather.
I'm going back in a bit for an NST -- he said he would have normally started them next week anyway but since I mentioned a noticeable/kind of sudden decrease in movement since yesterday he feels better starting them this week. He said "the baby is probably just fine, but let's take away the 'probably'"

Sounds like good progress! I hope the NST looks great and the membrane strip works soon for you! Your OB sounds like a nice guy.
I had my appointment on Wednesday but they didn't do an internal. I told the midwife that as much as I'm ready to be done being pregnant, my mom isn't flying in until Tuesday (8/5) so it would be inconvenient to have the baby before then since we'd have to scramble for care for G. She said in that case they'll check me (if I want) at my next appointment on 8/6 and possibly do a membrane sweep then. Just in case they're successful in bringing on labor...

He is really nice! He goes to my church and I worked with his daughter back when she was in youth group.
That's a good plan for you! My next appt is also scheduled for 8/6 but I'll have another NST on 8/5 (my birthday!) of course unless I go into labor before all that.

BIL and FIL share a birthday and always have fun celebrating together. It would be really cool if Rhys decided that 8/5 was the day to make his appearance! I can't believe we have single digit days left!
Lol... With my family history of late arrivals, it will probably be @jayhawkali then you then a couple of the early Septembers, then me...
I've been having menstral like cramps and back pain all day I feel like my period is going to start. My BFF was like maybe your in early labor I laughed since she doesn't have kids. I'm laying down with b and trying to drink more water.

Thanks eav2c . Now that I think about it I think I feel most annoyed when I'm really tired or it's hurting and she won't listen and let go. We've been working on that part and she's doing better. I try to get her to drink almond milk all the time and she doesn't really drink much, just a few sips. I even bought chocolate! Haha
My appointment was yesterday. We didn't do an internal this time, but we did last week. 1cm and soft. Tomorrow would be great- it's our 7th wedding anniversary. Really I'm just ready to be done.
I'm 8 1/2 weeks. It seems that my feeling crummy times are happening less and overall less intense. With Lana, I remember that my worst days were before my first actual appointment and my first appointment for this one is Monday. I'm hoping it rides out in similar fashion. Not that the rest of my pregnancy was easy or great or that I stopped feeling sick anytime soon, but my worst days were over. My last bad day was Monday, though, so we'll see.
The insomnia isn't as bad this time around, but I was fully awake and starving at 2:30am after Lana woke up. I'm pretty sure eating a bunch of cookies and cream ice cream at 3am is asking to get fat, which I don't want, but I was so hungry and nothing else sounded good. I have taste aversions to nearly everything all the time. Meal planning is impossible.
I'm still nursing. So far it's not that bad. In some ways easier than before I was pregnant at times. Lana sometimes asks for a sippy with milk at night, though (I think if she's hungry) and will nurse and drink milk. She doesn't seem bothered by it. The initial latch can be a jolt, similar to nursing a newborn again.
