So I read the book, and watched videos. And I think the concept of BLW is spot on. But my concern is that if you give chunks of food, how do babies keep from gnawing off too big of pieces? Thanks!

They will most likely spit them out. I would be cautious with trying to remove the piece yourself as it could push the food to the back of their mouth.

this is a good disclaimer.
L doesn't spit out, she stores it in her chipmunk cheeks so it is easy to get out.

I'm right there with you with logic maybe not matching up with emotions. I might be a BLW failure because I didn't handle it too well when DS bit off a piece of carrot and gagged. He finally spit it back out but I was way too nervous. We'll see if we try again. I want it to work out!
