I feel all sorts of weird this morning. I really need a do over.
1. I think I saw a dead body this morning on my way to the tube, although H is convinced it was a homeless person high or drunk and just passed out. The cops were there trying to shake him, but he was completely unresponsive. I was too scared to look back, so I kept walking. I keep trying to tell myself that he probably was just passed out, but it's still unsettling.
2. I realized that I let my cousin borrow my discount train travel card last weekend and she just left for Seattle this week, so I'm trying to figure out a way to get it back because I need it for next weekend. Although, this one might be figured out because she might give it to other friends who are currently in Seattle and heading back this way on Monday.
3. I change trains on my way to work and I got on the train going the wrong way (same line/tracks, two different directions) and went the wrong way for 2 stops because I wasn't paying attention.
Sigh.
@sfgal530, omg your flu sounds terrible! I'm glad you're on the mend and I hope you continue to feel better soon.

It's just after 4am. I'm awake. H is snoring. I have nowhere to escape to. Niece is on the couch, SIL and boyfriend in the spare room and one of them keeps coughing. With every noise the cat has to go investigate and get into shit.
If only tomorrow was a day I could screw off and sleep in.
Big hugs @sfgal530. I think you are right - usually that kind of flu passes more quickly so I'm guessing its not the flu. Sending vibes that you get some relief very soon.
I'm up stupid early for month end reports/meetings at work. Thankfully, on the other side of a long Friday lies a whole week off. We are heading out on a road trip Monday that will eventually land us on the southern Oregon coast for a few days with my folks. Its going to be super low key - the 4 of us, bikes, a jet boat tour, wine and the beach. I may come back to pick @ksta's brain on the general area later
Supposed to meet my running buddy tonight for 10 miles. I love this weather but please please please let it cool off a bit, just for tonight!
Morning. I have a very early all staff meeting. Yesterday bkb and I went up to mu parents to relax for the day. My mom watched bkb so I could get my ten mile run in.
Today I'm just trying to stay awake so far. I don't think I have much going on after this so that's nice for once.

Good morning! I'm here alone with my niece (who is still asleep). Tman, James, and my nephew went on a men's campout thing with our church. I took me like three seconds to make the bed this morning and there wasn't crap all over the sink and underpants on the floor from James getting ready for work. Ha.
I really wanted to go up and see my friend today, but she's not having it. My niece and I are going to get pedicures. I have never done it and am actually kind of nervous. What do they do? Do I need to prep? Should I cut my toenails before we go? Remove the polish I already have on?
Tomorrow we are going to a farmer's market with a friend of mine that has a daughter around my nieces age. The boys will get back later in the day, and then the five of us are going to go kayaking on Lake Union on Sunday.
They are from AR, so it's pretty different up here to them and they haven't visited in a while. I'm hoping they are enjoying themselves. They've spent most of the time at my mom's house, but we have them for a week.
It's 3:30ish am here and I am up because I'm sick. This is the worst I've been in at least two decades, in terms of how sick I am. Nothing is staying down / in me. I literally can't go more than 20 feet from a bathroom.
I effing hate this. I'm also not convinced I have the flu. I think I have something else.
I should actually have a very easy day today. One phone call meeting at 8:30 and then heading into work to drop off 3 dozen cupcakes I baked for a baby shower this afternoon, then heading to the Kirkland Marina for a morale event with one of my clients to do an argosy cruise while the blue angels practice. Then back to work for the baby shower this afternoon.
I'm slowly wrapping stuff up at work, but man, things keep popping up! This weekend is full of packing and trip prep. Can't wait to see @uwhuskygirl!
I woke up at 2am and kept trying to fall back asleep and then overslept, so I had to drive in again. Since I don't normally do that I left my parking card and had to park miles out of my way. Between this and a bad test yesterday I am pissy. I decided I will get coffee even if I am late, because I clearly need to snap out of it!
So excited for the weekend. I plan on studying all of Saturday and spend Sunday at the lake, I can't wait!

No prep, dont cut your nails (they do that) dont remove polish (they do that too) they will soak your feet in warm water and relaxing solution stuffs. They will take your feet out, remove polish, clip them down, tend to your cuticles and then take a pumice board to the bottoms and buff away calluses. after that they will lotion/massage your calves and feet and then paint your toe nails
I did not get to sleep at a timely hour last night so I am dragging. Inventory was this week at work so there was no receiving going on, which mean I have no supplier invoices to process. My morning is kind of dead. thankfully i am only here 7 hrs today.
Good morning. Happy Friday. Hopefully not a busy day at work. H and I got in a little spat last night about finances. He likes to complain about things costing too much but he won't let me change anything.

It's going to be a long day. I ended up getting about 5 hours of sleep but still interrupted when H got up for work. SIL and fam just left to check into their hotel for the weekend. Yay! I really should try to stay awake all day and get decent sleep tonight, but I'm not sure that is going to happen.

@uwhuskygirl How scary, about the homeless person I've had experiences like that before, where I see something and I'm not quite sure what it is, and I'm too scared to look back so I just let my imagination run with it. It's less stressful to assume it wasn't what you thought, and dude is fine and probably just stoned / drunk out of his mind and that's why they're having trouble waking him.
@sfgal530 Ugh! That sounds miserable. Hope you feel better soon!

Baby Rogo Terror Threat Level has been increased to blue. I've been having mild contractions since 5:00 yesterday but they're not escalating, so I'm having trouble telling if they're of the "this is happening" or "just for fun" variety.
On the plus side, the HVAC people are coming this afternoon, so I should have working AC again just in time to not be pregnant anymore!
Also, kind of glad that Facebook is down right now to give me some cool-off time. My crazy aunt posted a super inappropriate comment on a BuzzFeed article I shared, that basically implied that I got pregnant because I'm too dumb to know how to not get pregnant. Classy, right? My mom called me and was like, "You know she's not well, just ignore it, I'm sorry she said that, I'll talk to her." Ugh. My poor mom. Always stuck in the middle of family drama.
ETA: I am LOVING The Skimm. Especially this morning's quote of the day about Notorious RBG. She's the best.

Oooo, on the Rogue River?! Because I LOVE that trip. I've done it at least 4 times from the shorter route to the longest route. Feel free to pick away

I am not working today so I pretty much have the whole day to do nothing. Trying to find something fun and cheap to do with the boys and then I'm watching my friend's son tonight so that she can go to work. Last night was super slow at work but I was making 20% off of almost every table, until the very last one. Bill was $105 and stupid kids left $106 on the table and walked...Um yeah. I still have to pay tip share on that so basically I ended up paying out of my pocket for their bill. So irritating. Even more irritating that I gave them good service!
H comes home super late tonight but I am looking forward to some BCBC!
THANKS FB! First time I can remember, my account won't load, "network error". Of course, RIGHT in the middle of my conversation with my bestie in India! *wail* Sigh, I'm playing my Sims again which means I get obsessed and spend HOURS doing it. But I get home and I'm too tired and while the weather is lovely, I don't have a good way of enjoying it outside that isn't active and I'm too tired for that.
I'm wearing yoga pants to work today. I think I've only done it once before. It's weird to feel so comfortable, yet I feel weird for wearing them to work, even if it is Friday. I managed to find a tank and shirt that mostly cover my butt though. I *NEED* to take care of laundry this weekend. Looking at going to Shakespeare in the Park to see Othello this weekend. Trying to keep it low-key otherwise, just getting stuff done around the house.

Yes! I am so excited. We are staying in Gold Beach. Any suggestions of what else to do and, more importantly, where to eat?
Inlaws come today. I should be cleaning and getting my last bit of things done. Instead I'm here. H is at the range testing out his fit round of reloaded brass so screw it I'm taking a few minutes for me I'm excited to have his dad and step mom here, they are staying with us one might and then in a hotel the other night or two. Not sure why but it was there choice. Hopefully my IG friends will get some good pictures this weekend

Let me ask my mom when FB is back up. It's been probably 20 years since I've been to Gold Beach. Which boat route are you taking? Aw man, I'm excited for you! It's ass-early in the morning but its SO GORGEOUS.

My dad actually booked an afternoon trip. Its 104 miles long and we leave around 11am I believe. I'm stoked. Do you think its safe to bring my dslr? I'm paranoid about it getting wet but can't not take photos of this!

Oh, I think that's the full-length one that goes all the way to the head of the river!! I only did that one once, but the end is gorgeous and I saw a bear and 2 deer just at that spot. I'm trying to remember how rough it is in the summer. I think I usually was going in winter. You'll get splashed most likely, but I would say as long as you bring something waterproof to put over your camera, like a largish piece of that clear landscape plastic, you'd be fine. The little stop midway at Agate Beach is darling.
toratoratori I assumed she was joking around...because no one says that shit for real right? Wow. Also come on baby girl!
One of my work BFFs came over this morning and now I am hanging out trying to get the energy to go down to Ulta. I'm out of shampoo and would like to shower at some point. Oh also the neighbor kid came by today and said "I've um...noticed your yard...it's...tall..." he was so polite about how out of control it's gotten and so hopeful he could make some money. I've asked H to mow it repeatedly so if I'd had cash I would've said yes. I told him to come back Monday if the yard hadn't been mown. So now I can hold that over H's head all weekend.
toratoratori I assumed she was joking around...because no one says that shit for real right? Wow.
I ended up messaging her just to be like, "I'm sure this isn't how you meant it, but this is how it came across." I asked her to be more thoughtful about what she says in the future, but I'm worried that's asking too much.
