FYI - the super nice costumes are at Costco already.
The boyish ones are great. The girlish ones are... ok. The quality isn't as good, but the prices are lower (big boy costumes are about $25, girl ones are about $18). There are also baby/toddler ones, which looked good from a distance, but I didn't examine closely.
It's super early, but if previous years are any indicator, they won't last long.

It's unseasonably cool today and all I can think of is FALL!!!! I love Halloween. I have no kids, so ignore me over here. I'll be pinning pumpkin recipes and tossing leaves in the air.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

i am trying to sway DD away from wanting to be Elsa, because 10000 other little girls will have the same idea. but she should decide what she wants to be soon, and hopefully it is one I can buy because my motivation to be crafty is not strong right now while I am pregnant. Maybe a well timed trip to costco will sway her in the path of easy for me!
I think as collective group we need to do an Elsa TOT count this year.
I was at Target this morning, and overheard a woman say that they were buying stuff for her daughter's Elsa costume now so they would be able to get it.
Scarlett keeps saying she wants to be Elsa which is fine. We already have the costume from earlier this year when I got lucky at the Disney store.
I kind of hoped she'd give me a reason to buy the Aurora costume from Maleficent but no luck yet.
We are also doing the Mickey Halloween party at Disney world in mid October so maybe I can talk her into it for that. And then I could dress as maleficent. Muahahhaa. Or let her be Elsa for that and for Halloween be some Teen Titans. I want to be Starfire!

One of DD's (probably forgotten) ideas was to be Aurora and me to be Maleficent.
Yall have to tell me if you see any infant Olaf cosutmes.
I am not crafty, so please don't take this as a directive, but it does seem that you could make that costume pretty easily.
No! He will be like 1.85 months old at Halloween, which mean I will be sleeping during all my free time. I will pay $$ to make Halloween a non-issue for me. (hot)
I had my heart set on doing a family costume as the Sanderson sisters (I'd be Winifred and the twins would be my greedy child soul-sucking sisters) and DH would be the hottie skeleton band singer guy.
Sadly funds and time aren't allowing for it. So the kids can do whatever the heck they want. DH and I will come up with something.
I am in no way crafty, but last year at 3.5, Sam was obsessed with tornadoes. My friends were obsessed with SHARKnado, so I convinced Sam to dress up as sharknado for Halloween. It was a hit and super easy. I'd recommend to anyone especially since it's back!!
ETA: He wants to be a blue whale this year so I have no idea WTF to do about that.

The girls keep waffling on what they want to be. They really want to be Elsa and Anna and dress their brother as Olaf but I've already warned them that it may be hard/impossible to get the costumes. Their backup plan, which I would greatly prefer, is Dorothy, Glinda and a munchkin. I'm curious what will happen the year Emma rebels and doesn't want to do a theme with her sister because so far Julia has always dictated the theme and Emma has been excited to play along. I suspect Drew may rebel first and break his sisters hearts, but I'll be on his side...

I'm guessing this is my last year where I can get BabyLiu to be something that the rest of us can play along with. Thank god she loves Robin. My only worry is she will throw a fit when she sees I'm Raven and not Starfire. Starfire's outfit is too cold!
I had thought we'd be moving in October, and I wasn't going to take my tried and true jellyfish costumes with me. I've already promptness them to another family.

Now I don't know what to do. I love dressing up!
Your jellyfish was awesome. How will you top this?
