Can you spread the word maybe? I would skip this because a.) I have terrible handwriting and would want to type that shit or at least take my time writing it. B.) the recipes I know by heart are not anything new c.). You know how you read a recipe on a blog and there are about 5 questions in the comments about how to actually make the food? I fear my recipe would be like that, omitting most steps like at what temp to cook.
Also, this seems a little insulting to the bride to be. She needs recipes to use while everyone else just knows theirs by heart.
A few, but they're things like turkey meatloaf, where my ingredients are "enough breadcrumbs to make it stick" and "some BBQ sauce" plus an egg. Not exactly prize-winning family recipes.
I have several memorized, but they aren't my fancy or special ones, so getting to a shower that asked for recipes when I didn't know beforehand would annoy me.
I have a couple memorized that I'd be happy to share at a shower, but I'd be PISSED if I wasted good gossiping time copying out stuff I could have written down (and double checked, because I'm forgetful) at home.

I can cook a meal without a recipe, but it's nothing I would want to write down as a "cook it like this."
If I tried to do a real recipe on the spot, I'd get performance anxiety and forget. Actually, this whole exercise would make me anxious. And annoyed. LOL
If the directions were "write a recipe or dinner idea," it would be less obnoxious to guests.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
