I have a friend coming from out of town tomorrow!!
A guy friend? I AM NOT JUDGING!!
Yep. We went to HS together. Haven't seen him in so long. He's sleeping over, but the house I'm renting in has extra furnished rooms. Walla bitches. Platonic.
Moving out of this apartment and into a real house! My new workout schedule and how it's already changing how I feel physically and emotionally Going to the farmer's market tomorrow with E in tow. I love our farmer's market.
School starts soon, which isn't exciting, but our cranky old math teacher is finally gone, which is great! (Small school; we work very closely together, even though I teach humanities).
My SIL's baby shower is Sunday. I made really cute lovies for her, and I'm excited to give them to her.
I'm going to sign up for a couple local bike races, and I plan to do them on my cargo bike with DS.
eta: I'm about to dig into a ganache-filled, chocolate-covered fig. Now THAT is exciting.
We are surprising our girls with a trip to DisneyWorld in March. They've never been, and we're going to spend 3 nights there and then 2 nights down in Naples for beach/friend time! I know it's cheesy, but I can't wait to make a video of them finding out we're going
This is my last year of school and I'm so excited to be DONE.
Finally, I currently have strep throat and mono and I am really really looking forward to it being gone. Hopefully that will be happen sooner than the other two. Haha.
-Painting our (ugly concrete) patio and the new rug I ordered for out there -Cooler fall weather and fall clothes/activities -Hopefully buying new living room furniture for Christmas -An almost free trip to FL in April
1. I'm going to Africa in December. Land of my people, 'yall! 2. I'm running my first 5k in two weeks and give no shits about how long it takes me. They may be wrapping up everything by the time I finish but I'm gonna finish if it kills me! 3. The weekend after the 5k I'm going to see Aretha Franklin at the State Fair.
My bestie lives in WY and I haven't seen her in 6 years. She is flying to MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE on Thursday!!!! I cannot wait! We are gonna drink, go shopping, drink, get pedicures, drink, go to the farmer's market, drink, get brunch with a couple of my local best friends, drink and basically hug on each other for 5 days.
1. School starting again. I don't typically admit it, but I like having a set schedule. I love being off in the summers but I'm a better parent/wife/person when I have some structure. 2. Staying home for a bit. We've traveled a lot this summer and I'm looking forward to being home. 3. DS's playroom is almost finished. Painted, new carpet, and now we're just moving his stuff in. Can't wait for a space to contain all the toys and junk that I can't stand all over the house!
-for Jax to start pre-k in a few weeks. It's only two half days, but I can't even tell you how excited I am to have just a few minutes a week to do nothing. Plus, I can get most of my work appointments done without bringing him or finding a sitter.
-disney in December. I just switched our hotel when they announced the winter deals and am keeping it a surprise.
