I do all my cooking on the weekends. I make a big batch of sweet potato hash. Roast a bunch of chicken breasts for salads/dinners, and usually do a couple crop pot meals that I can freeze them for my lunches that week. I'm a big fan of the crock pot because it's easy and takes the guess work out of meal maps for me. I get my protein, veggies, and fat in one bowl.
I choose 4-5 meals that each contain 2lbs of meat and vegetables. This will be approximately 6 servings (with my H eating slightly larger servings than me). This will feed us for most of our lunches and dinners. I also eat fish 3 dinners per week, but my H is allergic to most fish, so he does not. Then I choose 4-5 supplemental vegetable side dishes. Breakfast, every single day, is scrambled eggs and ground meat for both of us. We eat out very rarely, so this is what feeds us for our 21 meals in the week.
This week, the dinners are: Whole roasted chicken Lamb with Sri Lankan curry sauce Savory ground beef and veggies Jalapeno bison burgers with sweet potato hash Wambam's fish x3
Ok, here is my meal plan for next week. A couple of quirks to keep in mind when looking at it: DH and I are rarely at home at the same time. Some of this stuff I will make ahead on Sunday and either freeze or refrigerate in individual servings. My deal with DH is that I plan 5 days, he's stuck with 2. Usually that means we grill on those days, so I try not to have anything grilled during the week (or just keep it to one day). I can't serve the same thing twice in a row, DH rebels.
YOU HAVE TO CREATE A PEPPERPLATE ACCOUNT TO LOOK AT RECIPES! Sorry, I'm lazy. I'm not going to go into each one and find the source. Plus, you'll love Pepperplate, trust me.
There may be ingredients in the recipes that need to be subbed to be Whole30 complaint.
Lunches are whatever is leftover from the day before.
Sunday (make ahead): For breakfast on all days I will be doing scrambled eggs and Sweet Potato Hash
Any recipes requiring chicken will be getting precooked chicken breast that I will make in the crockpot. If you're dying to know how to do this, it's here.
Homemade Ranch Dressing - technically this is against the rules because you're not supposed to "paleo-fy" things, but I give a flying fuck. I needs me some ranch dressing, plus I will use the mayo in other recipes.
Yum! Those look delish, pixy. I also don't think ranch is a cheat. There are a bunch of sauce recipes for Whole 30 and I don't think ranch in particular is "bad."
I already told pixy this on CEP, but homemade mayo and the subsequent dressings that follow are completely allowed. Go on with your dressed salad self.
