"Why would you ruin perfectly good peanuts by adding candy corn? That's like saying hey, I have these awesome nachos, guess I better add some dryer lint." - Nonny
Oh man. What a shittastic situation to be in. So your grandma treats your mom like crap too? And then she's the one stuck handling this? Wow, what an asshole your uncle is (no offense).

None taken, he is. I don't have a relationship with him at all. I have not been to my grandmother's house in probably 25 years.
My grandmother just gives my mom guilt trips all the time, despite everything my mom does/has done for her. She specializes in making other people feel like crap. I'm pretty sure all of them have unaddressed mental health issues. My grandfather was also kind of a loon, from what I"ve been told. Good times!
My mom is QUEEN of guilt tripping. It took me a long time to get over it and not care and be my own person. I have two brothers - the one that lives here in our hometown really takes a beating over the guilt trips. He does still care. My dad once described my brother (in relation to my mom) as a dog chasing his own tail. Meanwhile, the brother that lives elsewhere gets money from my mom four times a year. Wtf?
I'm sorry. My gma was in a nursing home for the past several years and my mom bore the brunt of it as well. It's definitely not an easy situation. I hope things go ok for you all
