CD3 cyst and still doing Clomid?

I went for CD3 lab/ultrasound today and have a 46mm cyst that is apparently a follicle that matured but didn't ovulate from my last cycle on Clomid.  Dr. Google was telling me they would likely have me do birth control for a cycle to resolve it, but the nurse just called and said I could start Clomid tonight.  I said "even with my giant cyst?" and she said yes.  Does this seem right/ok???  I'm a little concerned, though also relieved that we don't have to sit out a cycle.  Anyone have experience with this?  I need some reassuring.

Also, they said my hormone levels are good. So maybe that's why it's ok to proceed with the cyst? I don't have pcos.

I did Clomid all three cycles with a large cyst. All my levels were fine and they said to go ahead. In fact, I did IVF (and a crapload of meds) with a cyst. I went on BCP for 6 weeks before IVF and it did shrink some, but was still there. I was fine and had no pain from it. I had no adverse effects from it.
