I had a BFP on 7/23 but my first appointment isn't until 8/20. I hate that I've had to wait. I have a thyroid problem noone is currently monitoring and a history of losses so I wish they would have seen me sooner. I started bleeding last night. I went to the ER but they didn't do an ultrasound, just checked by HCG level (85000) but I don't know if that has dropped since I never had a baseline drawn and said my cervix was closed. I'm bracing for bad news, trying to be hopeful.
update...all seems to be well for now, I had an ultrasound, I am measuring 8 weeks though by lmp I am 9 weeks, there was a heatbeat. I hope to see some BFPs for everyone here soon, especially my sisters that just had losses. It shouldn't be this hard, I am sorry for all of our struggles

I'm sorry. I would call the dr and explain again and see if they can get you in. I had spotting with DS and they got me in as soon as I could get to their office after I called them. I hope everything's ok!

I can call the perinatal center to be seen on Monday
Sending positive thoughts to you! I'm pretty annoyed on your behalf that no one is monitoring you if you've had a history of losses.
THANK YOU!!! this is just exactly how I feel. I've been trying to be so laid back and have the attitude that "everything will be ok".
Now I really feel like I should have pushed them to draw my blood, check betas, check thryoid and see me earlier than usual. I guess its a learning process but it has awful consquences.
I'm so sorry and I am also frustrated on your behalf that you could not get seen right away with your history of losses. I am hoping that this is nothing serious; please keep us posted.

Sorry you are dealing with this. I had bleeding at 6w and my midwife saw me that day. Everything turned out to be okay.
You should definitely demand to be seen, at least for labs for your thyroid. I've had hypothyroidism since I was 22, got PG with DD at 24 and was closely monitored from day 1 because of my thyroid. My endocrinologist always says "Call me even before you call your husband so we can get your levels balanced."
I agree with PP- you should be monitored more closely given your history and your thyroid condition. Thyroid issues are a common cause of early preganncy loss. It's easily controlled with medication (at least mine is, Hasimoto's hypothyroidism).
FWIW, my doctors have always been very diligent in monitoring at least every 6 weeks. I was instructed to increase my overall dosage (second pregnancy) or double current dosage on Mondays and Thursdays this pregnancy (given I was already stabilized). Both helped to minimize the spike seen in first trimester when baby relies solely on mom's thyroid for function. Also, I was told that it was important to have my TSH between 1.0-2.0 while TTC, even though 0.35-4.0 is within the normal range.
I hope and pray that everything is going okay and your baby is healthy. I'm sorry you are having to deal with all of this. ((hugs))

09/17...such a long way away...I'm still waiting to hear my thyroid level. Also, i still see a little bit of blood, I did call and they said not to worry unless i see an increase. We're really debating on telling our parents or waiting.
