I like most of the aesthetic, but I agree that it looks very staged. I mean, who really has a kitchen with no toaster, can opener, coffee maker, just beautiful little terrariums? Three kids and a totally empty entryway...where are the backpacks and jackets, except for the artfully-placed shoes? The "catchall" area is SO staged -- what family of five just uses entryway cubbies to hold a single plaid jacket and some throw blankets? lol. I do think the floor-to-ceiling storage in the fireplace room (yeah, right, no t.v.?) probably does hold a lot of clutter, which is nice. I think planking both walls and ceilings is overkill, but I love the courtyard, and the little nook with the greywashed planks.

Idk, that's the plan for our new house. Enough storage and thoughtful spaces to hold our stuff. I don't like visual clutter. I'd like our tv in a cabinet that can be shut, same for kitchen appliances. (We did this in our last house too.)
