Fun thread- which of the following words do you use?

Usually purse or simply "bag"

Romper for shorts onesie and jumper or jumpsuit for pants onesie

Sneakers. Actually, usually just "sneaks"

Typically just "heels"

Flats

- Sweater or popover? (I ask this b/c a lot of store sites use the word popovers)
Sweater. Altho is it England who calls them jumpers?
I consider a popover a top that is structured similar to a button up top but is pullover instead.

- Jeans or denim?
Ooh this is big for me. I always say "denim vest" or "denim jacket". The term "jean jacket" or "jean vest" sounds too 80s to me for some reason. I can't say it!

In terms of actual pants- I will always say jeans. But anything that is not pants- I say "denim". Even with shorts. I dunno why it bothers me!

Eww. I don't like either word. I think i would just say "hose." Though I don't own any so I just say "tights"

Good call on the "denim jacket" vs "jeans" when referring to pants. I"m the same. I don't like the phrse Jean jacket. So I'd say that i use both words when referring to different things!

I also agree with this.  "Denim" for anything other than pants, "jeans" for pants.

- Purse or Handbag?  usually purse, but i also catch myself saying "pocketbook" sometimes...maybe it's a southern thing?

- Jumper or Romper? (or playsuit ) romper for adults.  my mom calls them sunsuits when they're for kids, so i do that sometimes too.

- Flats or ballet flats? flats...but i use the term ballet flats, but usually for a specific type of flat. 

- Sweater or popover? (I ask this b/c a lot of store sites use the word popovers) sweater.  i've only seen popover in reference to button-down type shirts that don't have buttons all the way down.

- Stockings or pantyhose?  pantyhose!  except i usually wear tights, they're less likely to run and i have little to no reason to ever wear pantyhose.
