I did not realize that was a Kappa thing (I went to a commuter college - no frat/sororities).
That being said, even I, EVEN white bread-small town-predom irish catholic community white bread girl I. KNOWS that isn't a gang symbol. It looks like "ok"; which given context seems like it would work (hangs head sheepishly/ignorantly). Which while I realize now is wrong. But it would seem like more of an accurate assumption to someone not in the know (me), than auto assuming it's a gang sign.
Wow. Do (white) people really think that a Cpt. of the State Police would be photographed flashing gang signs?
They really are that dumb.
I have just typed out and deleted several thoughts because I am literally SMH and really don't know what to say. I'll just leave it at "I cannot with this bullshit."
What the fuck is this? So anything a black person does is interpreted as a gang sign?
I think we need to come up with an acceptable list of things black people can do with their hands. Because hands in pockets is also no good because they're obviously going for their guns and/or other weapons. Across your chest = threatening. Hang ten or a-ok sign = gang signs. Fists are bad for obvious reasons.
So uhm - if y'all could just walk around with your palms facing outwards at all times, I think that'd be best.

Great example of the media trying to create "news". The media is responsible for a fair amount of misleading/misrespresentiation of what has/is happening in Ferguson.

Yeah. So if you're black and deaf you should just go ahead and learn how to write very quickly with a pen and a paper. Although pens could be seen as weapons too. So uhm, maybe just friend a white person to help you out (I would suggest a black friend, but you know - two black people walking together = menacing).

Good thing this fake signer was in South Africa and not in Ferguson!
"Not gonna lie; I kind of keep expecting you to post one day that you threw down on someone who clearly had no idea that today was NOT THEIR DAY." ~dontcallmeshirley

Oh, you didn't know. He was Obama's sign-language Luther alter ego. He was sending Black people coded information and direction on what to do When The Time Comes.
