Why do you want to double your milk supply with an 11 month old? I'm a pretty hardcore breastfeeder (exhibit a: DS nursed to 3, through a pregnancy and DD being a newborn), but I can't think of a scenario where I'd take these drugs with my DD being 11 months.

I used Reglan. When I had DS, the OB told me that once milk supply was established, starting on the patch would not affect it. He was wrong and my milk supply plummeted. They prescribed two rounds of Reglan, and it seemed to work. The biggest side effect for me was the sleepiness. DS was only two months old and in the throes of colic, so I wasn't getting much sleep anyway. This drug knocked me out to the point where it felt unsafe to drive. Each round is only ten days. I was very much into breastfeeding both kids until they reached one year, and so with DS, I probably would have taken Reglan at 11 months. With DD, I was a little more relaxed, and probably would have exhausted my freezer supply and then switched her to cow milk.

No experience with breastfeeding or having kids, insert grain of salt here.
I know someone who took Reglan for other issues, and the side effects (especially sleepiness) seemed pretty intense. It was to the point where they had to call into work because they didn't feel safe to drive. To me not being able to drive could also mean not being able to care for your kid as well as you normally would. I would really carefully weigh the risks of side effects with the benefits of continuing to breastfeed.
He's got fpies, which is a crazy allergy to milk and their bodies usually have a really hard time digesting a lot of proteins. At this point, he has reacted to every solid we've given him, so we have no safe foods. He can only tolerate puramino and has reacted to the other elementals, but I think he's starting to fail the formula as well. I'm only pumping 12-14 oz a day and he's eating at least 20 at daycare, so we're supplementing with the formula and I have no freezer stash.
@missy1 - I have contacted my insurance and ds's to see if one of them will cover the rental and am waiting to hear back.
Yeah, I tried to order it but you have to have a prescription now :/
BASTARDS.
(Well, no, not really, but damn it.)
You can still order it through inhousepharmacy.vu without a rx. I just ordered some and it came really fast - in 6 days.
I never used Reglan because I was worried about the side effects but I use dom and it has double my supply. It plummets if I go off it though. I ordered Vomistop - cheaper than the other two generics and it worked as well as the other one that starts with an M for me (forget the name).
Would your child's pedi be able to prescribe it for you? I doubt it since you aren't their patient but I thought since it is really for your kid and their allergies... Maybe?
I used it for morning sickness after an ER dehydration visit, and it made me sooo tired. Like could barely function tired. I can't imagine taking it with a small child unless I absolutely had to
