Exactly this. I would love four, but looking at our jobs, there is absolutely no way we could afford it. If, in the future, we decide we can support more than two, we could always have more I guess. One of the benefits of marrying and birthing young, I guess.
Currently have 1, voted 3. We definitely want 2 and 3 is a strong possibility. It's likely we will have a bit of a gap between #2 and #3 to help cut down on daycare costs.

We'll probably try for a fourth sometime mid-next year, especially if it looks like DD and DS1 are going to start kindergarten in the fall. I go back and fourth on #4, but my gut tells me we should at least try.
I REALLY wanted 4 & I've got 4. . Despite DH saying several times "he's coming out of retirement", I really doubt we'll have any more...unless it's an oops.
When we got married I wanted three and DH wanted two.
We had DD and for various reasons I was done. Convinced DH OAD was a great option.
Then she turned three and I changed my mind, lol. Convinced DH back the other way. Got pregnant and said two was it. We'd be done.
Then DS was born and I don't feel done. This part of me wants a third as crazy as I think it sounds. Financially and and logistically I know two is best for us but i wouldn't be devastated about #3.

2 weeks ago, it was a firm one. As of last night, DH wants to try for the next 3 months, and if we do not get pregnant, we should take that as a sign that we are done.
There's a possibility we'll change our minds, but we'll address that if it happens. I don't think we'd have a gap larger than 5 years, so if it hasn't happened by then, it most likely wont.
my only issue with being OAD is that before I had DD, we always imagined our family with 2 kids. I'm so used to that image that I still imagine it that way, but I have to kind of revise my "ideal" family in my mind. I don't think I explained that well, but whatevs.
Done at 3. We'd have more if there was an oops, but 3 really stretches the limits of our time and sanity. I can't imagine having to do more drop-offs and pickups, activities, etc. I would have to stop working or get a nanny, neither of which we want to do.
I'm really content with three and I didn't feel that way after one or two. I could see us having a fourth but not right now. But if we're going to have another, I don't want to wait too long because I'm afraid going back and pressing the restart button will be harder. I need a minute. Or several. I don't know. I feel like I'm at the saturation point with three kids four and under.
And bourbon, I've missed bourbon. #yaybabyweaningday for me!

I can't vote in the poll. Plan to have two.
I have to stay on BCP when not pg or BFing due to endometriosis, so the chances of a surprise are slim. It wouldn't be devastating to have a 3rd--I just don't see us actively going for it.
C&P from the "two and done" thread above. Absolutely, unequivocally, 100% done at two. I have ZERO doubts. I wasn't sure I even wanted a second, but am thrilled to be PG. I do not like the idea of being outnumbered by my kids LOL. Plus we would "need" a bigger house and car. We juuuust bought the house! Regardless of whether baby #2 is a boy or girl, we ARE DONE.

If anyone is considering 5, my boss has 5 between the ages of 5-14. I just heard her literally scream into the phone at one of her kids... "THEN GET YOUR GDAMN SHOES ON AND GO OUTSIDE. SEPARATE YOURSELVES RIGHT NOW GDAMN IT."
when we got married, we wanted 4. after 2 C-sections, reality of daycare costs and not a lot of sleep, its down to 3. in a perfect world, I would have more than 4 but I know that's not happening.

Good times there.
I grew up 1 of 4 kids, this sounds exactly right.
We are done done done with two. These two are going to kill us.
