That color is great. If I'm being picky, I don't love all the different patterns going on (floral headboard, striped pillowcases, duvet pattern). Can you add an accent pillow or two made of the same fabric as the headboard? Or maybe shams to match the duvet? I think that will help. Something in that mixture needs to be repeated to tie it together (said the complete decorating amateur).
Ha, so that is my old duvet cover. I still love it and may be able to have the back repaired a lot cheaper than I first thought. Its the first thing that might be cheaper here. The duvet is actually a texture, not exactly a pattern and the pillows are white on white stripes. But point taken, I can much easier get new pillowcases. I was planning on making accent pillows with the headboard fabric anyway. No possibility of shams that match the duvet as its over 8 years old.
I love a solid blue with a pattern in the weave. That blue doesn't *quite* match the light blue in the headboard, but from a distance it looks fine. Is that one no longer available to buy new? It shouldn't be that hard to find a pale blue duvet cover in a solid or with a woven pattern like that, right?
ETA: Well crap, yes it is. I've found a few that I think would match color-wise, but they're all full/queen, not queen queen.

Ha. Exactly why I'm so frustrated and ended up with the grey seersucker.
Honestly, if the blue seersucker matches the blues in the headboard I would go with that. You need more color in the room and blue will coordinate well with gray.
Will you hang something over the headboard?
I agree with this. Either paint the walls or get more color in the bedspread.

Just get a new duvet, and put this one in the guest room if you have one. Problem solved! lol.
No, I think your old one is fine if you can get it repaired. Maybe you can just have a whole new back put on. Then if you ever happen upon one in a closer blue in queen queen, you can consider replacing it. Do you ever go to TJ Maxx? They have a constantly rotating stock of bedding in decent brands, and you never know what you'll find. It's worth a shot to look from time to time if it's not out of your way.
The color looks pretty, but I don't like the graphical (Kate Spade?) pattern with the floral pattern on the headboard. I like the new seersucker duvet in blue better.

The dry cleaner/alterations place said they could put a new back on for 20ish pounds. Even if it goes in a guest bedroom, that's still worth it. I'll keep my eye out for other stuff, but I'm not wanting to spend a ton since its a temporary rental and not our forever home. We don't have TJ Maxx in London, I've seen a TK Maxx (I THINK its the same), but its not close at all. It requires a 40 minute bus ride into a busy area with two toddlers. I have to work myself up to it.

Hhhmmm, I have to return the grey anyway. Should I get the blue and post again??? Will you people not be completely tired of me and my duvet by then?

I still wish it were a little darker blue, but I do like the latest option the best. It's definitely better than the super pale shade that it appeared to be on their site.
Yeah, the color on the website looked horrible. What do you think of the throw and the accent pillow? I still plan on doing other pillows in the headboard fabric.

I think I like the cream-colored throw more. Accent pillow is good, and I think the addition of ones that match the headboard will be even better. Nice job!
Hhhhmmm, do I need another picture? The cream would be good. I already had that one and the gray was a bit more than I wanted to spend on a throw, but I was fed up.
I like it! I think it's the best of the three options too. I also agree that the cream throw works better than the gray, and while I think the navy accent pillow is a bit too dark on its own, it will probably be fine once you add the headboard-fabric pillows. Yay!
I like this duvet. I too prefer the cream throw better than the gray, though I think I like the texture of the gray one better. Is it long enough to place along the entire width of the bed?
Also, I think I prefer the more structured shams in front, rather than in back.
If you do that, what if you fold down the comforter at the top to break up the blue a little bit, just so it adds more visually.
I don't love the darker accent pillow on its own, but once you throw in a few more in the pattern, I think it will come together nicely.

ETA: And post a photo once it's all done!
Its not actually a navy blue.....its more cornflower blue in person, but yeah, I don't like it on its own. Now to buy a sewing machine to actually make the pillows.

The grey one is probably long enough to cross the bed, I know the cream one is not. Does that make a difference in which throw I should keep?
For whatever reason, the stupid shams only came in standard size not king size. The other color seersucker duvets had both. WTF? But I can switch them.
You are dedicated! I've liked most all of the ones you posted. I think it's just adding the accents and I do like this throw/combo too. I agree, please post your final decision. We are all invested in where you and Mr. Under spend your quality time.
