So we have been having a holding problem with him for about twoish months now. He has pooed successfully on the toilet within the last week and a half. However, he is still holding!!! We haven;t " trained" him. We just introduced the toilet to him and now he's obsessed with sitting, putting toilet paper in , flushing and washing his hands. AHHHH! I fill him up with fiber and he refuses to push it out. He will even tell me he has to poo a million times a day. I put him on the potty and he just sits there and read his potty book.
Is he eventually going to go. It's stressing me the heck out to take care of a 2 month old and tend to her needs but also having a toddler that constantly wants to sit on the toilet ...but won't do anything on it.

Are you using a reward system? I didn't want to use one originally, but ended up doing it with Mel and it helps. She just started using a seat on a regular toilet (she learned on a small potty) and was scared. We gave extra prizes for poop on the toilet and she has gone twice. It took 2 days, but it finally happened. All for 5 m&ms.
My BFF gave both her DDs miralax for a period of time to get them past poop holding issues. For naptime and bedtime, I had to start telling G this is your one chance to potty and enforcing it. At night she's still in a diaper so it's NBD. Naptime would've been messier but luckily was fine.
