TrudyCampbell I can't figure out polyvore on my phone but this is what I'm thinking. That's not the sweater I have, just a similar color. And Calvin will be in navy chords.
My child is taking all of her toys out and moving them into the middle of the living room one by one. Do I stop this or enjoy the quiet peace as she destroys the house. She has told me "I put this here, don't touch it".
Confession: the ice bucket challenge is going around FB and even though it's raising a lot of money, I still think it's dumb and I really hope no one tags me for it, because then I'll have to be that one jerk who refuses.

I was tagged in one. I didn't do it. I feel just fine, thank you very much.

Well, my nephews were tagging people, and I didn't want to have to disappoint them. Fortunately, I doubt my sister would have let them tag me because she knows I probably wouldn't do it and don't have $100 to spare.
I'd just like to know how it's raising awareness. Are people now more aware that the disease exists? Because I highly doubt those who are dousing themselves with ice water are more aware of the facts of the disease.
Big hugs. I'm sorry, it's gut wrenching but you guys will be ok. It sucks you have to go through this every year but the time you get with them is awesome.

Exactly. I know that fundraising is up for this particular disease, which is the important and great part, but it's not really raising awareness about what the disease entails and whatnot. I felt no pressure to do either.
I'm going to Target tomorrow. Has anyone bought any cute tops for themselves there lately?
I got a cute tank there today for $5. They had some of the v-necks on clearance for $7.
Mh is off tonight and he has both girls in the playroom. I'm finishing my dinner with no one screaming or sticking their hands in it. Huzzah!
I put Zesty Italian dressing on my salad bc I had some left over from making pasta salad and I wanted one less bottle in the fridge. I don't think I like Italian dressing. It's far too zesty.
Big hugs. I'm sorry, it's gut wrenching but you guys will be ok. It sucks you have to go through this every year but the time you get with them is awesome.
You're right; I know I am really lucky to get as much time as I do.

It doesn't mean it doesn't suck. I hope you have a great first day back.
kdrake8 hugs! Yes, you are lucky but it doesn't make leaving them any easier. You know the kids will be fine! (PS... whatever happened with the IL situation? are they still the DCP?) Just keep focused on seeing those smiling faces when you get home!

They are 2 days a week and then we have a very close family friend who is a former Montessori teacher who is watching them the other three. The kids adore her. S and I taught her sons and she and her husband are kind of like our mentors. They're awesome.

This board is soooo not good for my Mindset on needing to be done at two kiddos. Ugh..... So much of me wants a third, but I know we just shouldn't. Wah
OMG lol I just had my first experience with penis pointing up in the diaper! Haha I don't usually put it a certain way but I guess it was completely pointing up this time because he peed and his diaper stayed completely dry but he and I got soaked!!!
And of course we're visiting family and I only had one short sleeve onesie so we're chilling with a blanket
Anyone want a kid or two? Solo bedtime is painful - this is night two of three. James has become a pain at bedtime - he goes down fine, happily asleep and then wakes up screaming 30-60 minutes later. About when I'm in the middle of getting A to bed. I've tried feeding more leading up to bed, putting him down drowsy but not asleep and varying the time an re same thing keeps happening.
I just accomplished solo bedtime and I was sweating as if I had run 5 miles.
