We are not religious, but DS is enrolled in a Christian preschool. Very common in our area, and they had the best hours, price, and location. Plus, a little religion can't hurt. NBD.
It didn't occur to me that they would pray before meals so when DS asked if we could pray before dinner tonight H and I exchanged a glance and asked him to show us how. He raised his hand and said, "thank you for the food all men."
yep, love those little kid prayers. My DD goes to Catholic school, so praying to the Virgin Mary is common. Except to a 5 year old it went like this, "Holy Mary, version (virgin) most pure..."
I asked her once what "version most pure" means. She told me that some Mary's are pure and some aren't so we want to make sure we are praying to the most pure version. At that time, I didn't care to explain what a virgin was to her so I just went with it. We now pray to Mary v. 1.0 in our family as a joke.
