DS had uretal surgery. I haven't put a lot of details up on fb or anywhere really, but it was pretty draining to take care of him post op. Feel free to PM me if you have questions about the process.
Then (a few weeks later) I have a status check 34w ultrasound and all the good things they said about a vag delivery at 28w they redacted because placenta is still "too close" which some docs consider 2cm too close and some docs consider 1cm - I'm at between 1 and 1.7 cm and baby is foot-on-cervix breech. So... Hey... Maybe a C at 37w.
So, I'm freaking out. Re-ultrasound at 36w, but they couldn't get me in before my check up (same day) so I'll see my doc before my ultrasound --- backwards... And determine from there. My doc prefers closer to 39w, so...
Meanwhile... DD is starting preschool and money is tighter than a corset so DH is pondering second jobs... And I have no idea who'll be around for post partum help or kid care for 1 & 2 while I'm in L&D.

Oh soxin2! That's way to much for anyone to handle. I'm so so sorry. Useless and trite but try not to stress. I hope DS is recovering and doing well now. And that it's a relief and the worst of it is over. I'm sorry you're disappointed about not having a vaginal delivery. It's so hard when you envision things going one way in your head and then everything gets flipped around But it sounds like your worst case scenario is 37 weeks, which isn't too bad. I'm sure they'll do testing out the wazoo to be sure baby can breath on it's own ect. I had difficult pregnancies and I feel you. Do you have any family willing to come up? If you end up with a planned c-sec it might not be too hard to nail down the timing for help. But definitely get some. The money thing. Well, I can tell you it's only a few years. Just keep repeating that to yourself. All my friends' kids are finally in school and it's freed up so much cash. Vent away! You have more than reason to!
I've had some offers, but I don't trust them to follow through until they are actually at my door. I'm treated as if it's my own fault for "running away" (2hours) and they'd be more "able" to help if I were closer. Not true.
DH's family is tapped out due to some other situations, so...
I think I'll be able to cobble together some help in the immediate, but I'm not holding out much hope, because they've got a history of letting me down, so it's better not to plan.
Hugs. I'm not sure where you are, so I can't offer much more than that, but just know as a fellow mom of 3 whose DH spent all of a few hours post-delivery in the hospital b/c he was home taking care of DS1 and DS2, I hear you. We are NW of the city. If you are not too far, send me a PM and I'll at least bring some meals over. It will all work out, help or not. And vent away!!!

Oh no I'm so sorry, when it rains it pours. I don't have kids yet but it sounds overwhelming. Try not to stress and hopefully everything falls into place. I forget where you are but I'm north of Boston so if you need meals or anything let me know. I can drop off some food at the very least.
((Hugs)) that is so tough. I'm north of the city as well and would be happy to help or bring by meals as well. I've got my fx that your next u/s looks better so you can try for a vag delivery.
We gratefully accept. Describing where I am in relation to Boston always seems so subjective to me. (May DD town later) we live in ** Dracut ** so, quite a bit more NW than most people's definition of NW of the city.
I think everything I've gone through in the past year (vs the childhood I had), has taught me to establish and value my village and to stay active in it even when life makes it easier to want to check out. Which goes for you ladies, and my church family and makes me sad I didn't get more involved in the local mom group before all my pregnancy restrictions happened.

soxin2 I'm about 30 mins east of you by Haverhill. I can definitely come drop off some food and anything else you need. I've been sick most of the week with a head cold (don't want to give you anything else to worry about), but can come by next weekend aka Labor Day Weekend. Let me know what you need, you can send me a PM and we can coordinate if you want.
