It us raining and I'm irrationally annoyed that it is ruining my last day home with the boys. I go back to teaching from summer break tomorrow . I wanted to do all kinds of outside things. We went to the library. I'm not sure what we will do next, but I'm bummed.
rjamz The clinginess makes these days even harder. I feel ya on that one. If I could be productive somehow then maybe that would help with the boredom.
Rainy days make me really dread the doldrums of winter.
I'm fearing the Chicago winter.... People still talk about last winter like they have PTSD.
It was awful. But I can't imagine it was that different from the weather you guys had on the easy coast. Tons of snow and below freezing temps. We were house bound so much it was crazy. If you had moved here from a warm climate then I would be worried for you!

Yeah, we spent most of out time inside also and it was too cold to walk anywhere, like the Children's Museum. It was terrible. We'll have to hang out this winter. Let J and M entertain each other while we drink hot chocolate and wine.
im babysitting for a friend today her daughters love Brady and pretty much are babysitting him for me. Plus she bought us lunch and insisted I stop and get everyone milk shakes on the way home.
The class lists for G's school will be posted later today and I am so excited to find out who her teacher will be. I have no idea why I am excited about this.
I discovered that my neighbors have been putting their compost in my compost pile. That's cool and all, but a little odd...
Weird! Did they ask? Do they have their own pile?
I can't imagine such a strong urge to compost that I immediately start adding to my neighbour's pile.
Nope! I opened it the other day to add stuff and saw some leaves and branches that didn't come from any tree or bush I have, but do come from ones they have! It's so weird!

I logged on to Adam's school site today to get his teacher name..... And I can't tell if it's a man or woman. Lol. Google did not help me either. Womp womp.

I heard someone say same amount of snow this year, but not as cold....
Flameful: I'm doing the minimum at parenting today. Wow. Lol I even made a terrible fort so I could hide for a minute.

Dear Musiclover,Â
These things aren't flameful around here.Â
I am laying on a mat next to my baby and playing on my phone. I have classical music playing and I feel that is enough stimulation for her, lol.Â
You're doing a great job. There isn't a single SAHM on this board that doesn't think it's all at once boring and overwhelmingly stressful.Â
Love, 2nd highest post count on GBCNÂ
I put out a blanket and pillows and another movie and one kid is climbing on me and the other is babbling in a corner and I'm ignoring them both. And as soon as my husband comes in, I am running out the door without so much as a word. YOU MADE A FORT. You're winning parenting today.
After being up for over 2 hours last night, I was sure Caleb would take a decent nap. Nope, he woke up after 45 minutes. I spent over an hour trying to get him to go back to sleep until I gave up.
Confession: we're still in our pajamas.
And my father just posted a ridiculous and infuriating comment to something I posted on FB. Wrong day to do that, Dad.

Reporting in from "mommy and daddy's bed" where Jamie is laying down watching Sesame Street and I'm laying down and probing.
A just stirred and almost cried that nap time was over. I am exhausted today. He has been crying in his sleep multiple times a night and when I go in he is asleep. Anyone else have this happen?
I have to take A and the dog to the vet this afternoon. Should be interesting.
