I posted a review of a restaurant on FB about a month and a half ago. I got an email (and then a pop up when I logged into FB) that my review had been removed because it didn't follow community guidelines. WTF?
Does anyone know anything about this sort of thing? I was basically echoing a similar experience as another review that wasn't taken down and I was honest. Food was good, service was not. I looked up the guidelines on FB and I don't see the problem. Anyone know what gives?
Here's my review:
My husband and I had dined here before and our experience before was decent so when we saw a LivingSocial deal for an $80 gift card for $40 we jumped at it. I made the a reservation, as instructed by the deal. There were no other restrictions.
We ordered drinks and our meals. We also had dessert to use the remainder of our deal. The food was very good and I was happy that they were able to make the meal I wanted off the menu (originally they told me they didn't have the ingredients to make it, but they apparently arrived as I was ordering). When the bill came and we gave them the voucher, they only honored it on food purchases. I explained that the voucher did not exclude drinks. Our waiter told us it would have been good on house wines, but we would have needed to tell him about the voucher in advance (we didn't need to do this last time).
In an effort to compromise, I asked if we could get 2 salads to go to use the remaining value. We were told that we could not take any food with us and that we could sit there if we wanted to, but it might be awhile. I got the sense they didn't want us to stay because they had other reservations. The server did talk to the owner and I was disappointed that the owner couldn't even be bothered to visit our table. I could have pushed further, but didn't want to ruin an otherwise nice meal. I can't say that we'll be back anytime soon.
