There was one named Peeta at the dog park two weeks ago and I almost dognapped her. She stole Sheldon's ball, but she listened to me when I told her to sit and drop it. She came and laid down at my feet for belly scratches and slobbered on my feet.
Had it not been the dog park, I would have rolled around on the ground with her.
I told her (and her human) that she defied every stereotype and that she was awesome.
I have a pitt/lab mix and she is the best dog. She wouldn't hurt a flea, but would give her life for her people. (we had someone just walk into the house a few years back and she pinned him in a corner, thankfully the guy wasn't looking to hurt anyone, he was just wasted and walked into the wrong house)
You know, I used to work at a vets office in my teenage years and all the breeds that are categorized as vicious were the biggest babies. Pits, Rotties, Great Danes, Boxers. They were all just huge love muffins. It was the smaller/medium sized dogs that usually were the ones you had to be careful around. Dogs are not inherently bad creatures. It's like the concept of original sin, total bullshit.
