We have fucked up weather. It would not be the first time it's snowed in August.
We go from death hot to freezing fast. It was -62 with wind chill at one point last winter. But we also teeter totter, one day it's -32 the next it will be 40 melting everything away.

Do you live in hell?
Lol it's actually really really beautiful just very extreme weather changes. Luckily it's a dry climate so we don't have humidity to contend with as well. Then it really would be hell.

Haha, I bet. The beautiful places make you work for it.

ie) seattle grey 9 months of the year
I miss Seattle hard. I lived in Lynwood as a kid and then I had family in Seattle so I got to go visit often. The power bar and stumbling monk were my favorite bars. Oooh and the farmers market in Ballard, heaven.

H and I love to travel but will always have this as are home.
I'm awake. Usually don't sleep "normal" hours, so I'm always lurking right about now. So let me tell you why I won't be sleeping for the foreseeable future.
H and I moved to Alaska 3 months ago. We rent the cutest log house ever, but really, it's too big. We are barely settled here and DH had to leave for 3 weeks of work training. THE VERY FIRST NIGHT he was gone I decided to paint my toenails at 3am. Well thank Jesus I was awake I guess, cause a fucking brown bat decided to come down from the ceiling and dive bomb me 20 times. I forgot to mention, I may or may not have been drunk. Imagine a grown woman shrieking her head off while crouched in a corner for at least 20 minutes. Every time I tried to move, it swooped down towards me.
I slept on the couch for a week and never got the bat out. I mean, it went back to wherever it came from, but I highly suspect he and all his friends are infesting our roof insulation.
There's no such thing as "animal control" when you live in a state where moose and bears are your everyday lawn ornaments. They actually laughed at me. Anyways, I'm on my own for the next 3 months. I''ll probably become like Christian Bale in Momento. You and I can be late night lovers

I grew up near Lynnwood though!
Crazy lol. I would move to Seattle in a heart beat but where I'm at will always be home.

My H just left for the airport and needed my assistance with the Uber app for ordering a car, and now I can't fall back asleep. GRRRR...
My H does not get uber. It is SO easy. I ask him how he manages people, lol.
I know. He accidentally ordered one earlier than he intended (although he swore up and down he did NOT order one) and the guy was to our condo in like 30 seconds. And H was not ready to go and all La-de-dah, where is my hat? Oh, I'm not going to bring sunglasses. Wait, yes, I do want to bring them. Where are they? What's the best way to pack this shirt so it doesn't wrinkle? And in the meantime, I'm getting anxious about the Uber driver who's been waiting for five minutes, and from whom I've been fielding text messages. And now, after a flurry of mental energy at 4:15, I am much too awake for my liking.
Fuck that bat. I legit turned into the biggest screaming vagina I've ever seen. I'm embarrassed for myself and wondering how I'm gonna survive in a place like this. I always thought I was hardcore. Dead wrong! lol

Bats are no joke. They're disease carrying flying rats of doom.
My fi and I talked about moving to ak, and I was like no fucking way dude. I like knowing night from day and being able to easily venture to other states for fun.
Plus I've seen Alaska state troopers (lol) and they are hardcore about no booze in a lot of places. A place without booze is no place for me.

I think rotating shifts have finally caught up with me. I worked until midnight last night but just 2 days ago I worked midnight until 8 am. Yawn. . Always exhausted but I can't sleep.
That tea looked really good though. I think that's what I'm going to do this morning, too. Formal tea with my 5 year old.
