Mine started out shitty (literally) BF and I got sick Friday. Really sick. It was nasty. We ate crackers and sipped water all day Saturday. Sunday we were back to some really food and feeling better but tired. I found out that a lady who has been like a second mom to me since I was five passed away.

Damn, ala! I hope you are feeling better and I am so sorry for your loss. **hugs**
My weekend was pretty good. Friday night we had another couple over for dinner/cards/and hanging out, so it was nice and relaxing.
Saturday, my parents dropped by to say hi, and hang out for a bit. And then we went to the winery to pick up our wine.
Sunday, I got a manicure and pedicure (which was AWESOME, and much needed) and then we had our draft for fantasy football. Overall, no complaints about the weekend!

Sorry it wasn't so good for you. Glad you are feeling better, though.
I was off work on Friday and had to do some not-fun errands like getting an oil change, bank deposit, etc. Just mostly relaxed in the evening.
Saturday I was lazy most of the day and then went to meet friends out for a birthday group outing. That was fun since I hadn't seen some of them in a couple of months, and someone brought out the hookah when it moved from bar to house party.
Yesterday I did some house cleaning, cooking, and then felt really old while watching the VMA's. I did switch over the NFL games sporadically and almost every time I turned to the game there was a player being carted off with injury. Seems like this is the most brutal pre-season with regards to injuries already!

Friday I just did a little cleaning, and I worked Saturday but I traded a coworker for the closing shift so I got to sleep in late and relax in the beginning of the day.
Yesterday we helped my brother move into the house they just bought and despite its creepy history it feels perfectly fine to me, which is good. I love spending time with them and he fed us good pizza for dinner so no complaints! We moved a ton of fish tanks, so my wrists are feeling it today, but I got some good ideas of what to put in my tank.

Ala, I'm sorry you had such a bad weekend.
Mine was pretty good! Friday we went to dinner with our work BFFs and ended up hanging out playing pool.
A rare occurrence happened this weekend. I spoke with each member of my immediate family within a 14 hour time period. It's rare for me to even talk to my brother or dad on the phone, let alone in the same span of time. We went to our nephew's first birthday party Saturday and had a good time. (Made a day-trip.) My SIL's mother (hobby photographer) gave me lots of compliments on my camera and photography skills, so that made me feel good about myself!
I've been missing my sister's kid and I needed to catch up with her, so I went and hung out with them Sunday afternoon. I promised my sister that I would help her out when her new baby comes since our mom only has a week time frame when she can be here. And then I got some one on one time with my little stinker of a nephew.

Blah, sorry your weekend was cruddy!
Mine was pretty good. Friday night, we stayed in and ordered pizza. In an effort to unwind after my hellish week, I drank rather a lot and ended up blasting music and dancing in the living room. I made Ian dance with me too, but mostly he just laughed. Saturday, I went to an art fair with a friend. The weather was not fantastic (hot and humid followed by torrential downpours), but I still had fun. I got a few things for myself and some gifts. We grilled out at night and then watched some TV. Sunday, I had to work for a couple of hours. Then I did a little cleaning, some writing group (that is, non-work) editing, and just vegged a bit. Not a bad weekend, but it was much too short!
I had a great vacation, and my weekend included an extra night in Aruba! I had such a good time with my parents and sister, the weather was beautiful, food was amazing, and I was so happy I went with them. Also, I am kind of tan!! They were flying to Boston and I was going to NYC, but they overbooked my flight. They were looking for 1 volunteer to switch, and since I was on my own, I did it for the $650 voucher, plus the free night/meals at a hotel on the beach. There was an older couple that was also staying, and we ended up hanging out. They insisted on buying my drinks and dinner, and we had a great time. I'm exhausted today, but oh well!
My weekend was fabulous! S and I were at the Barclays Tournament all weekend. We worked ShotLink on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, then on Sunday we parked ourselves in the stands at #5 and watched all the pairings. During Saturday's round we were pretty close to Bubba and Rory, which made my day. S's aunt and uncle, who we adore, used our guest passes so we got to hang out with them after our shifts and had dinners together. We left yesterday as the last group finished the hole to beat the crowd. I didn't want it to end.

Yay for a great vacation!
Any idea what you're going to use the travel voucher for?
Thanks! I'll probably put it toward Spain next year since they don't fly to Colombia, but I'd also like to go to San Francisco with my sister...
We just got back from Jamaica and let me tell you, it was the best vacation we have ever been on. It was luxurious, relaxing, beautiful, and just what the doctor ordered. If you ever have the chance, rent a villa at Round Hill. The one we were assigned is also where Paul McCartney stays!! I slept in the same bed as him...weird!
Friday was my birthday party and it was so much fun. About 25 people showed up to the restaurant and they gave us 4 tables on the patio. I had MANY mojitos and really great Cuban food. At around 11 we left and met up again with some people at our neighbors for hot tubbing and more drinks. I don't remember much after 2am!
Saturday I slept in, then we went to our friends' house for a crab feast. Three people brought their toddlers and it was rainy and cool, so no pool fun. After that we required more drinks!
Sunday we move everything out of our basement to get ready for the remodel. Then we went to our friends' house to help them demo for their remodel. I spent all afternoon pulling up floor tile-- I'm so sore today! Then friend brought us BBQ and beer and we ended up in our neighbors' hot tub again until very late.
(I totally forgot that today was New Faculty Orientation until I got into the office this morning. Everything went fine but I felt a little unprepared! Oops)
Yesterday we helped my brother move into the house they just bought and despite its creepy history
Can you share with the class?
The previous owner committed suicide in the house earlier this year. There's an entry/exit bullet hole in the ceiling/floor and some missing ceiling tiles. He was a guy only a few years older than I am, bought the house when he was 20-21 and 'ran a successful Web business'. The house has motion detectors in every room, and holes where cameras were installed. My brother and SIL got an awesome price because his parents - who are alive and in town - want nothing to do with the estate. Just so many odd things!
We went to a wedding on Friday night it was a lot of fun! MH and I danced our booties off! The rest of the weekend was pretty low key. I got my hair cut and some new highlights (which I'm loving!) and yesterday we made some progess in our search for new appliances.
Friday we drank beer at a tap takeover. Saturday I was slightly hungover but had a lot of errands to run then baked sumbitches cookies and chocolate whisky cookies, then went to a friends for volleyball and swimming. Sunday I had immediate family over and I made a 7-layer chocolate cake (family recipe), pulled pork sliders, fruit salad, potato salad, and Caesar salad. We played cards, it was lovely.
I would like to hear more about these chocolate whiskey cookies. Kthxbai!

Well then. Good for them for getting a good deal?
I think that's why it stayed on the market for a bit. It doesn't bother me at all, but a few people we've talked to found it terrifying.
