There's a lady out on pregnancy leave that has an office near my desk, and every morning when I come in there's an alarm going off in there for about 20 minutes before it turns itself off. Every.single.day. I wish someone would go in there and shut it off because she's not coming back for another month or so! I'm not the only one who hears it, either, but I guess I could find out if someone has keys to get in her office and do it for us.

Ugh. It sucks that her office is locked. I was going to suggest unplugging whatever it was! That would be so annoying.

I'm sure she just doesn't even know that it's set to go off. I will bring it up to my boss and see if he can get in there, it's been happening for a couple of weeks already and it's definitely annoying.

I've got a headache this morning and a very long To Do list. Grrr.
If Friday was a 10 in terms of dog interaction, and Saturday was a 1 then yesterday was a 5. Only one fight that I managed to head off before the "I want to murder your face" stage.

One of my old college buddies moved back to town and we're planning on going out to dinner this week! After I split with my ex, all our mutual friends abandoned me (it also coincided with all of us graduating), so I'm happy about the prospect of reconnecting. Especially since I knew her before I met my ex.
I'm having a total first world problem right now. I ordered some boots from Nordstrom and when they arrived, they just didn't fit right. I'm looking for new boots and they're not at the same price point; they're all just a little bit less and I don't want to lose my points if I go with something a little cheaper.
The struggle is real.
Also, I really hope we get some good storms here today/tonight!
I think you'll have to buy boots and a scarf! Problem solved!

I would be in a murderous rage. If I forget to turn my alarm off before I go into the shower or something, I will get out soaking wet to turn it off because I can't stand the sound for more than a few seconds.
I wish I was a pro golfer. This sitting in cubeland is for the birds. I want the golf course to be my "office".
The good thing is my counterpart (who I can't stand and is the biggest lazy fuck I've even seen) just left for a seminar that runs through the rest of the week. And I'm on vacation next week, so I don't have to look at/hear/deal with him for two weeks. TWO WEEKS OF PEACE AND QUIET!

I have an interview on Thursday morning! It's for another department in my current county office, so it wouldn't lessen my drive... but it would be a slight raise and something that would help in the future with the career field I want to do!
My laptop is having some kind of virus issue and it's pissing me the fuck off after spending a week having to go to the lobby for wifi (eta: on my shitty iPhone that I hate typing on). FWP.
I came across a job that I could really enjoy... And is within walking distance! I'm going to apply in the morning. I just hope the pay would be worth it.
I have found that knowing pay before applying for a job is one of the great things about working for the state. I'm almost positive that they're required to post the base salary on the job posting, unless it's a very high-paying job.
