Even though Western Australia isn't koala habitat, I was very excited to get to pet one at an alpaca farm in Denmark (the town in Western Australia, not the country). "Squeee!":
This lemur at the Singapore Zoo jumped up on the rail behind me and startled me so much that I screamed! Much to the amusement of my friends:
We were horseback riding in rural Inner Mongolia, and this farmer invited us in to meet his newborn kittens.
