And what about carpet in the bathroom? Whose idea was that? If you're cold when you get out of the shower, buy some a damn space heater and some slippers!
OMG VOM.
My friends' cabin has carpet in the kitchen and bathroom. It was so nasty.
I hate carpet, too. As a resident germaphobe, they will never be clean in my mind.
My in laws complain about our wood floors because they are cold. My FIL brings his house slippers with or he leaves his shoes on. If he wasn't the nicest man ever, I would say grow a pair and stop being so wimpy!
This is random, but - I really don't understand the concept of one parent sleeping in. We both hear K when he wakes up. Neither of us can fall back asleep at that time of morning. If one of us is sick or hardly slept the night before, maybe we can do it. But other than that, if the kid is up, everyone is up. I wish I could sleep in, but I guess it avoids the problem of figuring out whose turn it is.
I can't sleep in and haven't been able to for a long time. I remember the good ole days when I could sleep until 10/11. H can sleep in and/or go back to sleep easily once he's awake. I'm jealous of this and wish I could so I just let him live the life for both of us.
I used to get up with B on the weekends, and let DH sleep in, but I think around the time we moved, we both started getting up with B. Well .... kind of. We recently discovered that B is perfectly happy if we bring him into our room and let him watch Daniel Tiger on the iPad for an hour while we continue to snooze.
I am jealous of morning poos. I wish I was that regular.
Every morning at 8 am, like clockwork, my H goes into the bathroom to do his business. It pisses me off! I always end up needing to poop around the time I'm trying to get the girls ready and head out the door, so I have to put it off until I get to work.
Yeah, my H does this too before I need to get ready for work every morning. Actually, I swear he does this anytime I need to use the bathroom to get ready. The smell is disgusting. Mine never smells (but he'll never agree with this).

- I don't go on any weekends away because I don't want to owe H any thing. Plus I sleep like crap whenever I am away from my family. It sucks.
- I am pretty sure I will budget for all carpet to be removed or replaced as new when we buy a new house next year.
I have more random confessions. I'm SLIGHTLY judging my nanny family. They've been living in this apt 8 months and literally have zero things on their walls. Every single weekend they talk about how they are going to put up all this artwork they have and they don't. It's kind of depressing being surround by stark walls all the time.

We've lived here 15 months and have put 4 things on the wall total. We've moved so much the last few years that the idea of putting up things and taking them down one more time was daunting. I didn't plan on staying more than a year.

My H works nights and an hour away so 4 days a week he is only awake at home for 2 hours of the whole day. Of course that's mostly during double nap.
I take every chance I can to sleep in and take the morning off, so to say. The fact that Natalie's gymnastics class is early in the morning on a day where I could be sleeping in irks me more than it probably should.
Oh and please know I wasn't judging! It was just commentary on my lack of financial smarts.

I know; I feel bad, though. We used to run out of money all the time, and we'd been doing a lot better, but the last couple of months have been rough. I am horrible at budgeting - or rather, too lazy to really come up with one and then stick to it. I'm bad at saving too. I actually haven't changed my W-4 since E was born b/c at least if the IRS is holding the money for me, I can't spend it.
- I love weekends away. DH is going on his boys weekend in 3 weeks, I do spa weekends with the girls, and in October I'm geeking out and taking my sister to Wizarding World of Harry Potter for a weekend. Everyone needs breaks - we usually set up a sitter to come for a few hours to let the parent at home get a little break, too
- I look forward to my sleep in day (Sunday ) all week. It's just till 8 ( E is up by 6), but it's magical, not only to get a few more hours of sleep but also getting one day off from the breakfast/early morning routine grind. I have no problem falling back asleep those days . In fact it's not unusual on Saturday for me to get up with E at 6, drink a crap load of coffee for 2 hours, wake up DH at 8 and then instantly fall back asleep for another hour or 2. I love sleep. I miss it.

My H has a weakness for eBay and I knew this. I purposely asked for his login to watch a couple auctions for J&J stuff, which set him off into a hunt for more. Then he started asking for other brands. So in the span of 24 hours, he's "won" 1 J&J sweater, 4 tea outfits, 2 mini boden sleepers. I don't think he's done yet.

Unless HA has a sale on them soon, I'll be spending a ton of money on leggings for the girls. It seems ridiculous, but dammit they have the best leggings.
My husband does nothing kid related lately. He's been working a ton 70 hour weeks plus 1-2 hour commute each way. He used to be slightly more helpful and was helping with bedtime but that hasn't happened in weeks. I'm really nervous next week what it's going to be like with new baby and recovery. He only gets a week off then I have a few days until my mom comes for 4 days. Then I'm on my own with some help from mil.
I think after the first night I'm going to send dh home from the hospital to be with Brady so he can get a wake up call on what I really do.

My confession is that I kind of forgot Goodwill existed. On my "break" on Saturday, I headed there to see if I could find raincoats for the kids. I did not, but I did find a PERFECT pair of jeans for me! They are Talbot's. I've never stepped foot in a Talbot's. I never would've known without good ol Goodwill.

I wish Chris had work friends so he wouldn't give me shit for going out with mine. Yesterday Chris told me if I'd have been harder to get he would appreciate me more. Things are shitty here.
I love watching football, moreso for the socialization and the food. I'd rather be there in person tailgating and getting tipsy but a good gameday party is fun.

It's official, you are my board soul mate! Fantasy player, college sports lover, germaphobe and emetophobe
My morning poo clogged the upstairs toilet. DH will be the one to deal with it since my attempt at plunging did nothing but make a scary scene in the toilet. I hope no one is currently eating lunch.

I have eaten pizza every day for the last four days
probably not helping my poop situation. What can I say I have a craving for pizza. a CRAVING you say? if I wasn't on the pill, doing pullout, breastfeeding my baby 27 times a day and barely having sex anyway I'd be POAS now

My friend just text me a pic of IU's schedule and asked which games I want tickets to. I'm not even an IU fan, but great tickets and tailgating? Yes, please!

Confesh: I haven't gotten up in the night with Lyla for a really long time. I make DH do it because the second my feet hit the floor, I am awake for at least an hour and he can fall back to sleep after dealing with her in like 2 seconds. I'm not sorry.
