So tonight we were playing with M in the living room and he fell and smacked his head on the edge of the coffee table. He had an instant goose egg. I of course freaked out, called the doctor, and he said if he wasn't throwing up or acting abnormal, he is probably fine. Ugh, poor kid.
Oh, and I've also been trying to reach my mom since then (around 6-6:15pm) and she has not answered or returned any of my calls or texts. We are VERY close, and she always answers when I call, or calls me back pretty quick. I know it's silly, but I'm worried about her. She has a part time job serving papers, and often goes after her day and I sometimes worry something will happen to her while she's out serving.

DD has a large stuffed elephant that sits on her shelf, just out of reach when she's in bed. Except somehow she pulled it into bed tonight and is seriously cuddling it. To move it, or not to move it...hmm.

Ugh, head injuries are so nerve wracking. I'm sure he's fine! And I hope you hear from your mom soon.
I think DD might be teething. She's been fussy and jamming her hand into her mouth constantly and drooling. I don't see any teeth showing through but I know you can teeth for awhile before actually popping teeth. Sigh.
Yesterday I was making a cake, and needed another 1/3 cup of milk, and we were all out. No way was I lugging DD to the store and DH was gone, so I contemplated just for a minute about using breastmilk that I had in the fridge. I decided against it, but mainly because I didn't want to waste the BM.

How old? My 3.5 Dd is doing the same hand/drooling thing.
She'll be 4 months on Wednesday.
She was also up quite a bit last night almost crying in her sleep. I might give her some Tylenol tonight if she gets really fussy.
I'm sure baby and your mom are both fine! How was your day otherwise?
I snuck out after putting DS down and am getting molten chocolate cake for dessert. He only slept for 90 minutes this morning and 30 minutes this afternoon so DH may be in for a rough bedtime.
Mmm enjoy your cake!
My day was pretty good. Right before M fell, he kept bringing "Snuggle Puppy" to me, I read it about 5 times, while he danced to my terrible singing.

Ben started that fist stuff around 3 months. I think he was just finding his hands. No progress on teeth and he has slowed down putting hands in mouth now at 4mo

My DD has been doing the fist chewing and drooling thing since she was 3 months...and 3 months later, still no teeth! I keep waiting to see then pop through.
I'm tired. DS is sleeping, DH is at work. I should go to go to bed, but I want to see the Robin Williams tribute on the Emmys. They're going to wait until the very end to air it, huh?
N was a human garbage disposal tonight. He ate a few almonds while I was finishing dinner; I tried to take a video of him chewing them because it was adorable.
Also, he will NOT go to bed for me anymore if DH is home. Same with MOTN wakeups.
Ooh, and I picked up my fixed Dyson & vacuumed today. Barf at having to empty the canister 4 times for the living room rug, but it looks brand new now. The Dyson works like new again! I highly recommend using one of their service centers if you have one local!
All this talk about cake, now I want some! I will have settle for a Trader Joe's biscotti.
DD and I joined Stroller Strides earlier this month. I did it partly to get in shape and partly to be forced to wake up and get our day started earlier to make it to class by 9 am. Well it's working. DD is still on a 13 hour awake schedule, but it's gone from 9:30 am - 10 pm to 7 am to 8 pm instead. I booked it out of work today by 6:20 to make it home by 6:40 so I would have time to play with her before bed. And I've lost a few pounds and am forcing myself to eat healthier overall. No more side orders of donuts with my DD coffee.
I couldn't do the 7 am wakeup today. I was in mean wife mode. I resolve to be better tomorrow.
DS is a real a-hole at bedtime. His sisters go right down but he whines and gets out of bed several times. They have been in big boy/girl beds for a week now. DH is out of town so I'm solo and had to yell at him to get him to stay in bed. I feel bad now.
We are in the new house! It doesn't smell like skunk, huzzah! Last night at the old farmhouse, I was woken up from a deep sleep by the stench of skunk. This was in our SECOND FLOOR bedroom mind you. The smell was so strong, it made my eyes water. Terrible. So glad to have moved!
Poor DS, he was scared of the dark in his new room We didn't have a nightlight or anything b/c he doesn't usually need one. We couldn't crack the door b/c the cat would get in. So we left the hall light on, which shone under the door. After 45 minutes talking with him about it, saying "we'll be right outside", he is finally asleep. We'll see how long it lasts!
C has started saying "okay" instead of "yes" and it's the cutest thing. He also says "thank you mama" and "here you go mama" and it's adorable. We can have actual conversations about his day at school now. I love this age even though it can be incredibly frustrating too.
R giggled tonight! this is the first I've heard it out of him. melted my heart.
I'm doing decorations for a baby shower and I'm having so much fun. I made a rag bunting and now I'm working on some initial stuff. Pinterest has exploded on my kitchen table.
shelbyann - how did her appt go today?? fingers crossed for a good sleep tonight!
I am pumping in my hotel room. The TSA dude that was scanning my pump made some mention of "liquid gold" and then looks at me and says "because it sounds so much better than breast milk, that just sounds gross!" Ok, dude.
