I get sore breasts for about 4-5 days just prior to the start of my period. And I haven't found any bra yet that completely alleviates that. Running is only a small part of my routine, though, so I've been able to adjust my workouts so that I'm doing more lower impact stuff during that specific period. If I do run, I keep it to lower speed/shorter distances for comfort. Sorry that's not much help!
I think trying a more supportive bra is a good idea. When BFing I wore two and it seemed to help with soreness. If not, there is nothing wrong with adjusting your routine for a few days.
