So, my DS starts kindergarten next week and I think its weird that they are doing a snack twice a day on top of lunch. At full day preschool last year, they only did one snack and lunch. Plus, he will likely have a snack at aftercare. Too many snacks! He is the kind of kid that would snack all day long and then just pick at his lunch and dinner, so I am hoping it won't effect his meals.
Like DH said, it feels like Christmas was cancelled at our house. Wait, we don't have a house. We have a hotel room.
We were supposed to close on our house tomorrow, but it failed the city's inspection yesterday. For things we were told we fixed. For stupid little things that would have taken them 2 minutes to fix. For not having a fucking PERMIT TO ADD A BATHROOM! Yes, that's right. They added a bathroom without a permit. They "didn't know" they needed one. So now we have to wait 7-10 more days for them to retroactively get a permit and have the house reassessed. And as an added bonus, our property taxes will be higher than expected. Oh, and we get to spend $120 everyday to keep staying in this tiny room and to board our cat.
Rage! Oh that stinks! I'm so sorry. :-( I would push to get the additional hotel charges, etc. adjusted at closing.
Ashley&Scott I'd be really annoyed. 8 rooms in less than 2.5 years?! I thought DS moved a lot, and we just got word that he's going to be moving into his 6th room in 3 years. He'll stay in that room for a minimum of 6 months. Are they telling you WHY they think he should move up, or is it just because it works better for their staffing scheme?

They just said they think he's ready. That's code for it works better for their staffing since a bunch of kids just left for kindergarten.
I'm not upset yet though, I have heard really good things about the next room so I'm going to meet them tonight at pick up. While his current room is fine I don't love it as much as I did the previous room.

I just got chosen to participate in a video blog focus group about baby products. I get to keep the video cam they'll be sending me to record my videos, plus I'm getting paid! Yay, I'll be able to afford to get my hair colored and cover up my hideous roots!

I went to the dentist today. Baby Ace was pretty good, but I ended up needing to nurse him during the cleaning. The hygienist was so nice about it (she has a young child also). I almost wanted a picture because I felt n like that celebrity who ease getting net hair done while nursing.
Nods went into full rage mode this morning when I put a new pair of pants on her. She cried the whole way to my parents hoise, but immediately forgot about the pants when we arrived. She wrote them happily the rest of the day.

I can't stand when my older kids climb all over me while I'm nursing.
It's too early for me to be touched out so I think it's the heat, plus not being able to escape when they put their bare feet on my bare skin (I hate feet). I think I need to institute some kind of rule about giving DS2 space when he's eating to get them away from me.
