I enjoyed talking with my new neighbors today. Their son wandered over and wanted to play with our toys. The couple is easy to talk to, the wife looks soooo tired and over unpacking already. I like finally having friendly faces next door Oh, their 2.5 year old starts daycare next week, and I was dying to know the cost so I found a roundabout way to ask. Well she said $1,600-2,000 a month at that daycare depending upon the length of day and lunch needs. One child for 5 days a week is that much?. What the actual fuck?!?!?!

We were paying 1600 for Matilda before we moved her to the cheaper center. It's more reasonable now, I think it's 2600 for both
I've heard centers in downtown boston charge 2600 for one child!
I can't even fathom that to be honest. We were sooo spoiled at our old daycare. Shit shit shit!! FUCK!!!!!!!!

If you are ok with a home daycare situation I've heard t can be cheaper but I'm not really ok with that, I'd rather just pay a bit more for the center
It's expensive but we'll be SO RICH in say.. Six years when they are both in school just have to keep telling myself that
I'm unfortunately not comfortable with at home centers, I need my kids to be at a center. The sad thing is, we won't be rich till they are out of school since before and after care for public school still adds up.
Well, maybe we will win the lottery and that will help. Hahahaha.

I know I live in what some might say the middle of no where (town's pop. is over 60K), but we pay $700/mo for both girls and are jonesing for our next decrease.
I'll watch the dramas with you rjamz...I'll go hang out with Jamie when you all start the Bachelor drooling.
I hear Jamie likes to have parties without pants.
Aside from talking about Suzie the dog, M will not stop saying "Jamie nakie noonie". Nakie noonie is her phrase for naked time, ha. FTR, he did have a diaper on when we were over.

Stop talking about my Jamie! He lives in New York, dammit!

We are going to be paying 2600 for two as well, but I'm in flyover territory. What the hell?!? I thought things were cheaper in the Midwest.

DD went potty in the toilet this morning. She woke up dry the past two days. I can't help but wonder how many other days she woke up dry this summer when she was home with H. (Not that he was neglecting her, just that she would play in her crib longer )
