Andrew's poop has always been soft. It seems to be getting softer. It's now to the point that it leaks out of his diaper every damn night. So every morning, I have to clean him up enough to get him in the bath, strip his bedding, and wash his bedding, jammies, and anything else that was in his crib. I've tried different diapers and nothing seems to help. The size and consistency of said poop is just too hard to contain. This can't be normal, right? Allergies? IBS? Something else at play? I'm going to try and get him in to see the doctor about it soon. This week is just too hectic with fall school and therapy schedules starting up. He doesn't seem to be in any pain or anything.
Just wondering if anybody else is dealing with anything similar. Any suggestions or ideas? Our mornings are busy enough without the extra laundry and bath.
Does he drink a lot of milk? Colin has really soft leaky poop too and I think it's from drinking a ton of milk.
Not at all. He drinks water all the time. We usually give him a small cup of milk before bed, but recently we haven't been getting home in time to do it before he goes to sleep.

Has he started eating something new, like fruit? W has had 2-3 leak throughs in the last week or so (since being back in DC). I was blaming it on having more fruit than usual because he doesn't like a lot of the lunches so I think he fills up on whatever fruit they are serving that day. They also give him juice and he never gets that at home. Have you tried overnight diapers or using something like rubber pants over the diapers. Sorry, I'm not much help on a solution. W's leak throughs have all been in the late afternoon so baths and laundry have not been an issue.
His diet really hasn't changed. I picked up some probiotics today to see if it helps. I mean, it can't hurt, right?
No it shouldn't. The only thing I'll say is when my boys are on probiotics it makes their poop more smooshy. I normally start them one them when they are constipated. I'm not sure what it will do when it's the opposite.
