I don't think it's aimed at curvy women- I think it's just the style name/cut. It still makes no sense, though.

Exactly, I live in Loft's curvy line and they start at size 0.

I was at the gap today and tried in their boyfriend jeans, it was the funniest damn thing ever. Baggy on my pear shaped ass doesn't exist.
