My dog is on Temaril (started at 4pills/day, she is now down to 1 pill per day and today is her last day). The peeing is not as bad now. She was always thirsty and scavenging for food. I wonder if the poop eating was due to hunger? She rarely ever chews on the baby toys but she destroyed and ate so much toys that we started to put the toys up when we are not around. She would counter surf and eat anything off the counters (papers, packages) that we had to permanently gate off the kitchen and clean-up the kitchen table. A few accidents at home. I had to wake up at 3am for a couple nights to let her out if DH was not up late working. She is sooo much better now.

Obviously this is different, but whenever my youngest nephew has to go on steroids for his asthma, he loses his shit. Running around all bananas one minute, then crying and literally screaming "nothing ever goes right for me, ever!" the next.
He hasn't eaten his own poop though, as far as I know.
When Lucy was on steroids for allergies, she would just leak pee every time she fell asleep. She'd wake up and you could tell she was uncomfortable. I definitely noticed a personality change too. I hope your pup feels better soon!
Dexter was on steroids once and he wasn't himself, at all. He wasn't aggressive or anything specific, just...yeah, weird. And yes, the peeing. Round the clock. The sooner you can get him off it, the better!
Dexter was staaaaarving when he was on them. Maybe that's where the poop eating comes in? Try giving bigger meals and/or hearty snacks.

My guy has been on Prednisone for over a year now (neurological autoimmune disorder). High dose was the the worst, he was on 40 mg for a while, total 'roid rage.
He's on 15mg a day now (he's 75lbs) is better but the hunger is still pretty bad.
Willow is on daily Pred because of her Addison's (5mg) and will be for life but when she was first diagnosed, it was 20 mg and she was kind of a bitch. But now, she is just her normal self. She is a walking stomach but she was like that before. I have never met a more food motivated dog in my life.
She is bigger than a pug, though (59 lbs of fuzzy sugar).
