I have wanted this headboard for a couple of months now but seeing as how we have a mile long list of things to do/buy right now it's been on the back burner. We have been headboard-less in the interim since we upgraded to a king. I am FINALLY ordering it next week!

I'm waiting for my some curtains from Target to arrive on my doorstep (they were out of stock in store) and then the upstairs living room will be pretty much complete. I need to go couch shopping for the downstairs living room and then we won't have any more empty spaces in the new house. I mean, we have tons of walls to fill with art, but I'm happy with that being a work in progress. I just hate having rooms that are missing big pieces of furniture, so yay!
We are about to finalize our light fixtures for our new house this week. I'm about to spend some quality time on the lighting company's website... I've spent SO much time browsing. Meeting with the sales rep in the showroom Friday to decide. Ahh!!
Tomorrow my kitchen door is being taken out and expanded to put in a 6' slider. I have a nice view from the back of my house but you can't really see it through the kitchen door or awkward view window. And then once that is done, I can hang the curtains I got for the living room. I would have done it this week but house is all cinder block so there will be lots of dust and I don't want them getting dirty.
Next weekend the new kitchen floor is being installed (sheet vinyl).
Here's a "Before" with the seller's stuff. I will post update once I get the After pics!

I'm starting saving from scratch but can't wait until I can buy a new sofa. We picked this one out. I know it's not even taste but I was just happy DH and I agreed honestly

Not decorating related, but since my kids will both be in preschool this year, I will have some time to myself. I am going to work on getting my real estate license. I am nervous, but excited. I also am going to start "flipping" my thrift finds. I love thrift shopping and often see things that just need a little TLC, but I have no room or need for them. Maybe I can pretty them up for someone else
I think we may finally be having our back patio poured. The yard has been torn up since May and we are taking the first company to small claims court. It's amazing to kinda see light at the end of the tunnel.
I finally got frames for and hung three prints I got in Seattle over several trips in the dining room last night, they're perfect there.
We're reorganizing and redistributing kid crap throughout the house this weekend, moving most of DS's toys into his room, getting DD better storage that DS can't get into, and just generally purging the outgrown toys out of the mix. End goal is to eliminate the playroom function from the spare room and make it more specifically a craft space/guest room. We start with a trip to Ikea for breakfast and bins on Saturday.

We started purging crap from our closets and the "craft room" (aka the room that everything we didn't know what to do with got shoved into and the door shut when we had guests). Next week we find out the genders of the twins, and then I can start thinking more seriously about operation nursery. Still have a lot to move around, purge, and rehome before we have a space for the nursery but we are thankful to have a 4 bedroom house after this little surprise!
My new patio set will be delivered today! The H and I are getting materials for the railing this weekend, too. Hopefully the rain holds off long enough for us to finish it by Monday. I want this DONE.
By this time next week we should have our courtyard fence installed!
Also the side yard will be private from the road and the neighbors, and the atrium (for lack of a better word for the formerly fenced area off of the two bathrooms in the back corner of the house) will once again be enclosed and our bathrooms will again be private without needing to be blocked by plywood or oddly placed shower curtains. We plan to put our spa back there and some pretty plants.
I am really hoping that the privacy fence on the courtyard and the dog run will help our insecure dog feel more secure and that the dogs will get back to peaceful coexistence. When the fence came down over a year ago and we had so much work being done, the insecure dog started redirecting her anxiety by fighting with one of the others. Things are better, but still not normal, and I miss having all four loose without having to keep a watchful eye to make sure that the two are separated and the one isn't getting stressed.

LOL thewop - I should clarify, that's our tree from last year. I'm just in the planning stages for decor for this year and I'm getting so excited about it. Multiple trees! Outdoor lights! Wreaths!!!

Still no. I'm not ready for winter yet! I could deal with 2 more months of summer personally.
We just moved into our new house so I have lots to do. But today I bought brackets so my H can hang some open shelves in the kitchen. I am so excited and it only cost me $20.
