DH and I did week 2 day 1 of C25k tonight and I was able to do all the running parts without walking!
I almost redid week 1 day 3 because I struggled so badly on that one but decided to take a chance on the longer running time since it was so much cooler/less humid tonight. And I made it! I am so proud of myself. I did have a side stitch for a minute because I was going to fast but it went away in the walking part with some deep breathing and I slowed down for the next 3 running segments. It never came back.
We walked an extra 10 minutes and in 41 minutes covered 3.19 miles. So I actually did a 5K tonight. I don't think I have covered that much ground in years.
And after tonight's success I am actually excited for Thursday's run.
Oh, quick questions, how do people usually handle running in the rain? Jacket? Just your regular running stuff? How do you keep your iPod/phone dry (I have the C25K app that I use to let me know when to run and walk so need to have it)? I feel sort of dumb asking these questions but I figure I won't know if I don't ask, right?

If you don't have anything else for your phone, double bag it in Ziploc bags. Cheap and easy! I have one of these-pricy but worth the $$ www.lifeproof.com/.

Congrats!
I wear my regular running clothes in the rain, but I add a hat. I usually don't carry my phone with me if it's raining, but I've wrapped my iPod in plastic wrap before.

Congratulations!! Awesome work on completing a 5k and running as much as you did.
I just run in my regular running stuff, I find it refreshing when it is hot out. I have a running armband that my phone goes in (tuneband) and just run with that. Probably not the best idea, but I haven't killed my phone yet.
Ziploc bag it is!! I already wear a hat so should be all set. And I will remember to wear a colored shirt.
It will be interesting to see how our two dogs handle the rain. They love love love running with us but neither is a fan of that horrible wet stuff that falls from the sky.
