This weekend I'm heading up to a resort town where we are planning to rent a golf cart. DS is 3.5 years old. All of the golf cart rental websites I'm looking at for this town mentions that you can rent infant seats, but nothing about toddlers.
Which prompted me to realize I've never seen a toddler carseat or booster seat on a golf cart. Have you?
I'll call the place over my lunch, but would you feel comfortable if your toddler was riding between 2 adults on a GC? I am, but maybe I'm too breezy about it and am asking to get a ticket (or booked with child neglect!) half-kidding there.
We have a seasonal campsite and have a golf cart and we have always just held LO when he was a baby and now at 2.5 he sits between us or on my lap. Our 7 year old sits on the rear seat and has since he was 5 years old. Our golf cart does not have seatbelts but I know they can be bought so a car seat would not work for us. I think it looks more dangerous to try and rig up a car seat onto a golf cart. Also no one else at our campground uses car seat for toddlers or infants.

I have three car seats in my golf cart. However, it is a street legal vehicle and goes up to 35 mph. If it is a regular golf cart (not street legal) there are different rules, and you should be fine. If it is street legal then you can check the car seat laws in the state. However, you might just need a booster if anything.
We've never used a carseat in our golf cart. Granted, we only drive it in our neighborhood and to and from the club. When the kids were little, we held them, now that they're 4 and 6, we let them ride in the backseat by themselves. Heck, most of the time, we let one of them drive on our laps.
